Sasha looks down trying to avoid Regina and Emma's intimidating stares.
"So where you from?" Emma ask
"Chicago"
"Why'd you leave?" Emma ask
Sasha gets quiet at this question looks down clearing her throat.
"It was safer" "for her" Sasha says looking at Chi then adding "for me"
"Why?" Regina ask
"My parents" Sasha says drinking some water
"What's up with your parents?" Emma ask
"My mother she's a drug addict and Frank ugh" Sasha says his name with so much disgust in her voice Emma and Regina almost flinch.
"Frank?" Regina ask
"He's our father" "sadly" Sasha says looking down
"He left when i was a kid but came back and ruined everything" Sasha says angrily
"Go on"
"When he came back my mom started doing drugs again and Frank same drunk he always was ,he never paid the bills, he never fed us, he never did anything" "just trash" She says
"The broken bones?" Emma ask
"Oh yeah uh Frank is a very angry man one things goes wrong stay out of his way otherwise broken bones" Sasha says avoiding the look of pity Emma was sending her.
"Yesterday when i got here i had just gotten the shit beat outta me for buying Chi new clothes , food, diapers everything she needed" "when he went to take her things away he decided to take the clothes she already had on he was being so rough he was gonna hurt her" Sasha says her eyes watering .
"So i took her from him and he got angry he just kept hitting me and hitting me while my mom just watched and said stop they'll ask questions" "but he said he was gonna get chi next and I couldn't-I wouldn't let that happen so i got angry and i screamed and next thing i know he flew into the wall"
"He flew?" "You mean you pushed him" Emma corrects
"No he just slammed into the wall" "i don't know what happened" Sasha says confused herself
Regina watches Sasha curiously "he just slammed?"
"Yeah just like someone pushed him it was crazy" "but yeah then i got on top of him and punching" "i couldn't stop"
Sasha says "it scared me" "my mom stopped me she said i was gonna kill him even though he's almost killed me about 12 times"
"Wow your mom sucks" Emma says
"Bur you're in your 20's you could've left "
"I would never leave Chi" "soon as she popped out i was taking care of her while my mom was asking for more heavy meds for the "pain" plus they'd put her in foster care" "they treat you like shit in foster care"
"Oh trust me i know" Emma says nodding
"You were in foster care?" Sasha says looking at Emma shocked
"Yeah since i was a baby" Emma says getting emotional "uh look i gotta go back to the station but I'll come pick you up Sasha"
"How will you know where I'll be?" Sasha says confused
"Its a small town i promise I'll find you" "see ya" Emma says walking out of the diner.
Someone clears their throat. Regina.
"Oh crap forgot you were here" Sasha says smiling sarcastically.
Regina just stares at her blankly just staring in silence.
"Uhh aren't you going to go" Sasha says wiping chi's face who whines and pulls away.
"Someone has to watch over you and the child" Regina say slightly smiling at Chi who grins back at her with no teeth.
Sasha sees how Regina kinda lightens up a little at the baby.
"Hey you wanna hold her"
Regina looks at her with a raised eyebrow "you're letting a stranger hold her?" "You truly do need me to watch over you and the child"
"Ugh here" Sasha says annoyed handing Her Chi
Regina grabs the Chi holding her closely with adoring eyes.
"She likes you" Sasha says getting a funny feeling in her stomach seeing the hostile woman holding her sister.
Chi coos at Regina making the older woman smile.
"Who knew such a cold hearted woman is good with babies" Sasha says smirking
"How funny Ms.Ives" Regina says rolling her eyes.
"Thanks" Sasha says then starts to devour her burger.
Regina watches the girl eat sloppily shaking her head.
"What?"
"Nothing. Nothing at all"
Emma comes back in
"Hey Ives we should go- I mean Sasha" " Looking at at the younger woman urgently
"Ives is fine I actually like it better" she says with a smile feeling as if things are changes whether it's good or bad she likes it so far. "But Yeah let's go" Ives says leaving money then tries to stand up but winces suddenly remembering her injuries.
"Slow down Ms.Ives" Regina say standing up putting Chi in her carseat gently.
"I'm good" Ives says quickly grabbing Chi. "Let's go"
She walks with Emma following.
She turns around quickly "See you around Regina"
Regina nods not trying to show her sadness at Ives and Chi leaving.
Sasha notices the sad look on Regina's face even thought she tries to hide it. "Hey how about you stop by Emma's tomorrow? We could have a play date"
Emma and Regina chuckle
"Me going to Ms.Swans home , in a million years"
Emma crosses her arms chuckling a "yeah right"
Ives looks at them curiously "what ms mayor and ms sheriff not running the town together , fighting crime"
Emma laughs opening the door for Ives "let's go ya goof"
Ives laughs "bye Regina I'll see you around"
Regina feels her heart beat quicken and warm
"I will see you as well Ms.Ives" giving her a slight smile.
Ives smiles back walking away as the door closes Emma joining.
Until tomorrow Regina thinks to herself.
