Monika's POV

It was spring.
The flowers were blooming and the scent of freshly cut grass filled the air.
I walked through the busy streets on my way to school.
I lived 20 minuets away so I would normally walk, even in the winter when it's cold...

I found myself standing outside the school gates, not wanting to enter. My mind was telling me to go, but my body was frozen still.

"Monika, hurry we're gonna be late!" I hear a high pitched voice shouting from inside the school gates. Natsuki was yelling at me to hurry up.
"I'm coming!" I slowly begin to walk towards her.
She was holding a large box in her hands. It looked heavy so I offered to help but she declined.
"What's inside the box Natsuki?" I asked quietly.
She stopped walking to take a breath before she began to talk.
"Oh this, these are my special cupcakes, remember I said I would make them for today!" She smiled but had a hint of anger on her squeaky voice.
"Oh, ok."
"Don't tell me you forgot what today is?!" I thought for a while and then realized.

The new club member is joining today.

"Some club president you are of you can't even remember what day it is!"
"I can remember, the new club member is joining today." I look over in her direction.
"I wonder who it is, Yuri say's they're really nice."
I just stay silent and continue to walk.

As we enter the club room we see that Sayori is already there. Shes probably finishing her poem because she fell asleep watching tv last night.
"Oh hey Sayori!!" Natsuki shouts from the door. Sayori turns around and smiles widely at both of us. I return a weak smile back and walk into the room.

I walk towards the desk and lay my bag down on the floor. I sit down next to Sayori and pull out my book. "So who's the new club member?" I asked. "It's a surprise!" She squealed. She always loved surprises. Natsuki walks over to a table and gently puts her cupcakes down. "I hope she likes the cupcakes I made." Sayori looked up and giggled. "What made you think the new member was a she?" I look up from my book. "What?" I asked with a confused look. "Is the new member a boy?"
"Seriously guys? No it's an alien! Of course it's a boy!" Sayori laughs to herself.
"WHAT?! I thought this was a girls only club!" Natsuki shouted.
"Anyone can join the club, not just girls." Sayori spoke.
"Monika your the president, do something!" Natsuki scurries to my desk.
"I'm n-not sure if w-"
Before I could finish my sentence the door swings open.

The dark purple hair could be seen from inside the class.

Yuri walks in with a sly grin on her face, a boy walking behind her.

He seems familiar I thought to myself.
"Everyone come over here!" Yuri speaks.
"Your not the president." Natsuki mumbles inaudibly.
"So today we have a new club member joining us, please introduce yourself."
"Ah, um hello I'm Y/N... nice to meet you all."

No....no..... it can't be him.

Why does it have to be him.....

A look of panic overcomes my face as yuri smirks.

He doesn't know what he has gotten himself into...
