Her Prince Charming?!?

CHAPTER 17: Flashback....

--GREG--

         I had my men take Robin downstairs to the room where we conduct our 'businesses/punishments'.

         It's taken me years to finally find a weakness in Nate. Now that I have, it couldn't be more perfect and easier to destroy him.

         I don't like women really. Mostly cause my father always told me that women were only good for a few things. To fuck, feed you, take care of you and to obey you. If they didn't do that, you put them in their place.

         It was easy to know what he was talking about as my mother always paid the price for whenever she under cooked something or said 'no' to him. I mean, come on, she knew the rules.

         Growing up, I idolized my father and looked up to him. To me, in my eyes, my dad was better than Batman and Superman and was well feared and respected and was also one of the best gang leaders out there.

         Then, the same day I turned eighteen and became a prospect of his gang, that night, my dad was murdered.

         He was killed by a man and robbed by who he thought was a good friend. The man I soon found out was Nate's dad.

         Nate's dad had created a Motorcycle Club and began taking away clients from my father and his business. So money fell and his club almost went down. Then to make things worse, the man he had chose to be VP, immediately became the President and after almost a month of doing an even shittier job at keeping my fathers' gang reputation, I took him out and soon became the President.

           While doing that and earning my reputation, I vowed that I would find the guy who killed my dad and have him suffer til his last breath.

            Which I did one night. Then to make things even better, I had my men have a little fun with his wife after I was done with her, then killed her too and burned down their house and thought I killed Nate. But I found out weeks later he was alive and had planned to seek his revenge on me.

          I had been waiting for him ever since, however, while I was focused on that, I accidentally fucked up and happened to not see exactly that he had taken all of my great clients and grew an even bigger and better reputation than me.

         It has taken me so long to go after him, again, cause he never had a weakness until now.

         Before my father was murdered, my mother drank herself to death and while going through a few things, I found a note that told me there was something Nate's dad had taken from my dad.

         It seemed as though before becoming enemies, they had just pulled off a deal with a client that involved a couple of duffel bags full of $85 million total that they were to split between them both and instead, Nate's dad took it all for himself.

          Now I do believe Nate may not know exactly where the bags are, however, unlike before, I know he will find it and do whatever it takes to get back his girl. Which this will be interesting, I thought while heading downstairs towards the room where Robin was tied up at.

--NATE--

       I'm honestly not exactly sure in where the money could be.

       We had searched the entire house and the guys went looking at other places. I then thought of one last place after I found an envelope with my name on it. It was from my dad. Which read:

     Son,

          If you're reading this, then it's because your mother and I are no longer alive. I know we weren't the perfect parents but we tried our best. We had hoped that you would see the lifestyle your mother and I were in and stray from becoming like me. But again, if you're reading this, then you are still in the lifestyle. This life isn't meant for you. You are better and more than this.
         I never had a mother around and my father was never help in raising me and at the time I had turned sixteen I already had a record and was on a first name basis with the police department and FBI. My club became mine and your mom's family. Then we had you and I gotta tell you, the moment I found out she was pregnant I was scared shitless. I feared I wouldn't be a good enough dad or that you would become a huge target. And you did but, we couldn't give you up.
         We wanted you to have as much of a good life as possible. No violence and no threats.
         However, you know what? The world is just that. It's filled with hatred, challenges, rejection, fear and so much more. Believe it or not, we ARE already in hell.
        Bottom line Nate, is that you should know that we always have a choice to make.
         Your mother and I chose to raise you in this lifestyle not knowing how to take care of a child. Though no one does really. There aren't enough books in the world, especially on raising a child, that can work as much as experience.
         We hope that you choose a different lifestyle. Find a great girl, get married have kids and get a legal and decent job. Cause you're a smart kid and I know you would make a great husband and father someday. And don't you worry about the club, they'll always be your family.
          We love you son and hope that one day, you make the right choice.

        Behind the letter was a picture of the cabin we used to stay at every year when I was younger and where we now use as a hideout sometimes but haven't really actually used it in a few years.

          Then suddenly, I started remembering one day when I was getting ready for my dad to take me fishing, I saw through the crack of the door of the extra bedroom in the cabin, he was putting a couple of black duffel bags into the closet and then I saw him place a board inside and then closed and locked the door.

           I quickly called out for Max and he quickly bursts through the door.

          "Everything okay Nate?" He asks.

         "Yeah. I think I know where the money is." I tell him while continuing to look at the picture.

         We get up and quickly start heading over there.

         I will always keep that letter on me for the rest of my life. And now that there's only eight hours left until my deadline to meet with Greg and give him the money, we go as fast as we can. I don't care how much is in there, I will give it all to them for her.
