School hasn't really changed. Sure, they campuses are more advanced as well as the lessons, but the people haven't changed.
I doubt they ever will.

I woke up with water being thrown on me. I sit up in shock, gasping and shivering as the icy liquid drips down my body.
"Michael, you asshole!" I blurt out with wide eyes, clutching my soaked body whilst I stand up.
He rolls those beautiful chocolate eyes at my response and smirks cruelly. "Come on, freak, we got school in, like, half an hour." He struts away from me, confidence oozing out of him like smoke from a lit cigarette.
I groan as I shuffle around whilst shaking my hair out, tiredly getting dressed. Practically stumbling over my black skinny jeans as I pull them on, I manage to get dressed without breaking anything, including myself. I pull on my favorite blue sweatshirt, that I always wear, and shuffle out of the simple, but expensive looking room. As I walk to the bathroom, I let loose a tired yawn and shut myself inside. Leaning against the locked automatic door, I shake my head, trying to wake myself up.
After doing my morning routine, I look at myself in the mirror. I've never really thought of myself as good looking, but I've never seen myself as ugly either. Sighing, I study my eyes that look like they're glowing. That just happens to be the color of them. My lips aren't plump or kissable, but they aren't thin lines or anything.
I shake my head and pull away. I'm thinking about this too much because I've got school today. Heading downstairs, I'm greeted with the amazing smell of fresh coffee.
"Morning, Conrad!" Danny greets me happily, his eyes crinkling as he does.
They're like polar opposites. Danny always treats me kindly and happily (albeit creepily), but his son, Michael, is the biggest asshole I've ever known. He doesn't even try to keep his hatred of me a secret. I bet that, if he could, he'd buy some huge banner saying "I hate aliens" and hang it up where everyone could see.
"Morning, sir," I greet tiredly whilst following my nose further into the kitchen.
"Want some coffee?"
"Yes, please," I plead desperately, making him chuckle.
Handing me a cup of coffee, we make small talk as I put in creamer and sugar.
"What's your favorite color?" He asks.
I think it over for a moment. "Sapphire blue."
"Really?"
I nod.
He shakes his head. "I would've pegged you as a sky blue kind of guy." He chuckles and sips his cup of coffee.
I chuckle along with him only to be interrupted by someone clearing their throat. I turn around only to immediately regret it. Michael stands there with a pissed off look smeared across his handsome face.
"Glad to know you and the freak are getting along, Dad," he sneers stalking forward like an angry panther.
"Michael," the brunette chides, "be nice. Conrad will be staying for a long time. I don't need to deal with your sexual tension."
