If you're wondering no one knew about my little secret until now. For years I felt bad for not telling anyone or seeing Jason. I was just so scared to face him after what happened, but I'm 23 years old and I need to start acting like a man. My thoughts start to drift away as I decide to call Abby.
"hello?" Abby said through her raspy voice.
"Abby can we please talk?" Abby took in a long breath as she was clearly thinking of what to say.
" ok but I get to choose where we talk" I wondered where are we going. But at this point I could care less because at least she agreed to talk.
"ok" I said and hung up the phone waiting for her to get here.
15mins later Abby arrived in her black corolla. When I got in I quickly asked where we were going.
"Brett that's for me to know and you to shut up and see" Abby said serious. So I just nodded my head and waited. When we arrived we pulled up to a nice corner house. It had white fences and a very beautiful garden. But when she knocked on the door I was utterly speechless at the sight of Jason. The only thing that has changed about him was his newly clean shaved beard and his hair was longer. All three of us stood there in complete silence.
"Abby who the hell is this guy? And why did you bring him here?" Jason asked confused. Did he really not recognize his own brother. I mean yes I have changed but there is still some similarities that are the same. Before Abby could say anything I replied.
" um first of all I'm Abby's boyfriend and second of all i'm your brother. You know the one you called pathetic and useless. Yah that's me." I said serious not breaking eye contact with my brother. Jason seemed very shocked and upset. The way he looked at me when I said Abby was my girlfriend or when I pronounced he was my brother was priceless. But all he did was storm inside the house leaving Abby and I alone.
" Brett I think it's best if you go home and I'll call you later. I'm going to go check on Jason" she said looking scared with tears in her eyes.
"ok" I replied looking down and started walking to the nearest bus station.
Abby's point of view
I thought that bringing Brett here would help. When I found out that Brett and Jason were siblings I was completely shocked I couldn't handle it. That's why I ran out of the house. How was I going to tell Jason that I was not only dating someone but that someone was his brother. After hearing Brett's story about how he changed his last name really broke my heart. So I wanted them to talk but I guess that plan backfired. I walked inside Jason's house to find him sitting on the couch in tears. In all my life I have only seen him cry twice and the first time was when Kieran was born and the second was when I left him. I felt so bad for him seeing his brother must have took a lot out of him especially since it's been so long since they have seen each other.
"Jason are you ok" I asked
"NO I'M NOT WHY WOULD YOU BRING HIM HERE? WHEN WERE YOU GOING TO TELL YOU MOVED ON?. He said yelling.
" Jason I was going to tell you I swear. I just didn't know when. And I brought him here so you could fix things between you to."
"well how did that work for you?! Huh. Abby please if you know what's good for you LEAVE NOW!."
