"Damaged People Are Dangerous; They Know How To Make Hell Feel Like Home"
○------------------------------------------------○

I KNOCK ON Hotch's door, rocking back and forth nervously on my heels, waiting for him to come to the door.

The door flies open, revealing a disheveled Hotch, his eyes still attempting to keep open. He stifles a yawn as he looks at me curiously.

"I need to stay here," I blurt out, waiting to gauge his reaction.

"Yeah, ok, why?" He yawns, staring at me confusedly.

"I have something I need to do, someone to visit," I reply vaguely, hoping he doesn't push for an answer.

"Do you have enough money for a ticket home?" Rossi booms from behind him.

"Yes Rossi," I chuckle at the worry lining his features.

"Go ahead Natalia, take as long as you need," Hotch replies.

I thank him profusely and race down the hallway to my shared room, cursing under breath when my phone starts buzzing.

The caller id has me cursing again, this time for my stupidity, and I calm myself a bit before accepting the call.

"Hey Nat, where are you?" JJ questions as the line crackles, shouts and laughter practically drowning out her voice.

"Something came up that I uh, need to take care of," I reply as the line goes totally silent on her end.

"Is it about Nicholas?" She questions, her voice soft.

"It's actually about Kylie, my daughter," I reply.

"Is that why you stayed to talk with Dr. Wang?" She questions.

"Yes," I sigh, sweeping my locks of hair off my face.

"Is she ok, was she hurt?" JJ rushes out.

I had told her, Prentiss, and Garcia of Kylie when I first joined the BAU. They had even met her before and were extremely protective over her, so JJ's reaction had been no surprise.

"No, no, she's ok JJ, I just need to see her, that's all," I laugh softly.

"Ok, make sure to give her hugs for me, Emily, and Garcia, ok?" JJ replies.

"I will JJ, bye!" I whisper before hanging up and starting to open the door to my room.

Instead of a closed door, I run into a confused Spence instead.

"You have a daughter?" He questions increduolosly, his eyes widening.

"Spence, I would of told you guys, but I didn't want everyone to know due to the story leading up to her," I sigh, leaning against the wall tiredly.

"Natalia, what happened to you here?" Spence questions softly, staring at me most likely to read my emotions.

"Things I would rather not discuss until we get home, Spence," I reply with a sad smile, attempting to make my way in to grab my bag.

He blocks me though and questions, "But I thought you said you were staying here?"

"Wow, you should really change professions, perhaps to a spy?" I chuckle.

"I'm sorry, it's just-," He starts before I cut him off.

"No, it's fine Spence, but I do promise I'll tell you everything when I get home, ok?" I whisper.

"Nat, what are we?" Spence questions, cocking his head the slightest.

"Well, in order to become your girlfriend, I think you owe me dinner," I joke, crossing my arms across my chest.

His face lights up for just a moment before he's grabbing my wrist and pulling me towards the elevator.

"Spence, where are we going?" I question with a smirk as we enter the elevator.

"I believe you said I owed you a dinner?" Spence replies, pressing the lobby button.

"At 11 at night Spence?" I lift my eyebrow.

"At 11 at night," He repeats as the doors slide open.

[CENTRAL PARK]

"You know, people get mugged doing this Spence," I laugh nervously, my grip on his arm tightening as we walk the illuminated path.

"Nat, between me and you, we have two guns and FBI badges, I don't think anyone will mug us," Spence chuckles, looking down at me with a look on his face I never will be able to explain.

"Three," I mutter under my breath.

"What?" He questions curiously.

"I have two guns on me," I deadpan, skipping ahead.

"Well, now I feel unprepared," He jokes, attempting to catch up with me.

That is until we are both stopped by a gun to my face because for some strange reason, every gun has to be drawn to me. I'm pretty sure I should get a punch card for my hospital visits, maybe then the next one will be free.

"You just had to jinx us Spence," I sigh, staring down the barrel.

The kid at the other end of the gun is shifty, like this is his first time.

"G-Give me your money!" He whisper shouts.

"Why do you need our money?" I question him.

"Just give me the money!" He yells, this time at full volume.

"Jeez kid, just a second!" I huff, yanking open my purse and pulling out the checkbook.

"Do you take checks?" I question with a serious face, hoping my smirk isn't showing.

"What, no, just the money, now!" He yells, confused at my offer.

"Nat, just give him the money," Spence whispers under his breath, pulling out his own wallet.

I sigh before wrenching the BB gun from the boy's hands.

He looks scared for a moment before I shoo him away, ignoring Spence's look of surprise.

"Why is it always you?" He sighs, tucking his wallet away.

"What can I say, I live on the Wilde side!" I joke.

My only reply is a sigh from his end as he pulls me into his side as we walk back to the hotel.

A/N:
I'm sorry for my hiatus everyone, everything's been a little crazy lately! I'm sorry as well for the filler, but I do promise the next chapter will be big. I can't promise it will be happy though...
