Fearing that the Avengers might find them, Loki takes Mal from the Chitauri World as he teleports themselves to a dark castle where he tries to seduce Mal who rejects his advances as she reminds him of her love for Jay, his Descendant. Angered, Loki reminds her that he could hurt her sisters and Jay even though he's his son; Mal pleads him not to and also she asks him to be patient with her.
Loki accedes to her petition in giving her time to love him, but he tells her that he'll be allowing her to return to Auradon; but not to be with her family and friends.........she'll be returning to carry out an assignment that he'll give her.
The evil Asgardian Prince assigns Mal to assassinate her own sister Maddie before allowing her to become the new Queen of Asgard after she has gotten married with his adoptive nephew Ben. Once Maddie has died, Mal herself will get married to Ben and after of some years of marriage, she'll kill him after she has become queen.
With the desire of seeing her loved ones again, Mal accepts the assignment. Loki hands her a small bottle of poison, which she takes, and after pecking her cheek, Loki teleports her to Auradon.
