Going quietly didnt work at all. One noticed bith grouos so we had to fight. We were ready, ready to charge the pack of the dark eyed monsters. Zayne grabbed my hand and in that instant it almost felt as though the world wasn't at its end. That we weren't going to run into a cloud of death. But we were. My reality brought me back to the hell I was in. The air now thick with mist and the clouds above were gray and heavy. We had work to do. I clutched the dagger. I was definitely going to need this. Definately. Now we were running and running to what could be our deaths. But we were not afraid. Not even a shiver went down my spine. "Wren," it was Zayne. Fear had hit him more than it hit me. "Listen, whatever happens,"
"Don't say that," I feel bad that I kind of snapped at him at this point but this was the worst time to feel insecure. "I'll see you on the other side," I said letting go of his warm hand. We had finally reached the zombies after all of that running, and I was fending them off about as easy as Asha and Megan were. But Zayne was a different story. He had no clue in where to start in on the dark ones. That's when i realized that letting go of his hand was the worst mistake I've ever made. Quickly one of the monsters had gotten behind Zayne. i guess this day i was making a lot of rash dumb decisions so why not just make another one? I threw my knife at the zombie. Unfortunately Zayne was quite close to the dark one as I had explained before and my knife was reintroduced to Zaynes leg. The reunion of pain struck in on Zayne and he collapsed to the dirt soil ground on which the battle was taking place. Now I was in my own dilemma. How was I going to fight a herd of monsters without a weapon? That's when I turned around to look and see the zombie jump onto Zayne. Zayne was a goner.
