You're probably wondering why we had to leave? Why the barn had to burn from our memories? The dark ones. It seemed to be the answer to everything now that they've covered the world like a blanket. Maybe these dark ones were a blessing though. If it weren't for them I would still be there sitting on the swing set of the barn. But now we are moving. The zombies broke the door, the walls, everything. It was a major heard of them. Hundreds upon hundreds of them lining up to get the possibility of sinking their teeth into my flesh. We were lucky that we all got out alive. So once again I'm on the road. but this time is different. I'm grasping onto Zaynes hand. But soon I'd need both of my hands. Right down the road, barely visable do to the fog, was a pack of dark ones. But pack was an understatement. There were plenty. I grabbed out my knife and the rest of the group following suit grabbed their weapons.

"What do we do? Attack?" Of course Megan would think of attacking first. Her chances of surviving are so extremely high compared to the rest of us. One of the soulless creatures turned around to give us a glimpse of its dark eyes from where it's name came forth. It started walking our way and I'm pretty sure his other demon friends weren't far behind.

"Let's think this through logically," I said. "They come her and we attack face on, the basically hit a wall that we can't let get penetrated. Or we die."

"Or," Asha cut in. "We hit them back up, hit them back up and repeat this process until they're all down. We'd get way to tired slamming into them like that and to be honest that move is a little too reckless and too big of a risk to take." Megan started laughing.

"We obviously need to hit them from all angles. Divide and conquer them." She smiled at me.

"Zayne?" he had to have some sort of plan.

"I say we avoid them," everybody looked at him like he was a freak, which he was. "If we go around here," he drew us a map in the tan gravel. "Wed stay clear of them, no risk, no loss." this decision could kill me. Or kill them. Which one is worse? I'm not quiet sure. Him in perticular. I grasped his hand at the thought of losing him. He looked at me. "What do we do?" They all looked at me.

"Why are you all looking at me?" nobody responded right away. Then Zayne spoke up,

"Well you are the songbird, fly us in the right direction," I blushed at this like any human would. I looked to all of them as gray covered the sky like a blanket. Coldness swept in and the air started to smell damp.

"We split up," pausing to make sure that they are all paying attention. They were. "We try and go around silently, but if one side gets noticed the other can come and help. I'll go with Zayne, Megan and Asha you two go together. Everybody agreed with this plan so we put it to action. Megan and Asha took their places at the left side. Zayne and I were going right. "Let's go,"
