We're in the middle of December. We're located at in a small town. This town is just like every other ordinary town. There are families out Christmas shopping. There are cute couples ice-skating outside the mall with a very limited amount of stores in it. There are children walking around covered in layers of fabric eating candy canes and other sweet sugary stuff. Basically nothing unusual stands out here.

Take for example the most popular school in the city. You have hundreds of self-centred kids believing that they are the most important and wise individuals that may ever place a foot on the Bella High grounds. Bella high was constructed to be a private school for kids with a French nationality. Yet somehow along the way it became like any other normal high school with well-liked skinny girls, buff football players, annual school dances and the same uninteresting love stories.

I think this is when I come in. My name is Alexander Christopher Walker, but most of my friends just call me Alex. I have lived in this town since I was 6 and I know every corner, turn and shortcuts around here like it's my own backyard. I have my mom, older brother Oliver and younger sister April. My dad left when April was born, that was when we my mom decided to move here. I was 6 and my brother 10. It has been the same ever since.

At school I usually hang out with my only friend Hunter. He is cool enough. We have been friends since freshman year when we discovered that we both liked hip-hop. It's now junior year and I really like it here. I mean this town is full of nice people and you never expect anything big to happen. It is quiet and peaceful.

Anyway this school year has been evolving quicker than I fist imagined. Christmas is just around the corner. It is literally just around the corner, I'm serious. There are Christmas decorations everywhere. They are even singing songs on a simple Wednesday, like today. I can hear it from were I am standing. I'm just outside the school grounds enjoying a smoke with Hunter. That is in fact another thing we have in common. I'm not actually a regular smoker, and my mom doesn't know it. I just like enjoying a cigarette now and then, mostly at parties or when the hot chicks are watching us, like right now for example. I toss the butt at the grounds just as the school bell rings and w e are quickly off to history class.

"Hey Alex, you're coming tomorrow right?" Hunter says as we walk through the door.

"Yeah of course. I'm not missing a party dude, come on." We chuckle. Drinking is also a thing we have in common, or just parties in general. The annual Christmas party is tomorrow. It's nothing formal at all. It started out a few years ago as just a few pupils drinking after school but then quickly escalated to something bigger. Now it's pretty much the whole school celebrating with the freshmen, that we all made it this far. Basically we party on Thursday and then we party Friday again to get over the hangovers and our early morning, but Friday is mostly private parties. Which just reminded me to ask Hunter about something.

"Oh yeah Hunter, who hosting on Friday this year by the way?" I say as I toss my body into the chair on third row, up against the wall. This has, and always will be my seat. Hunter sits down just a row behind, that way we can talk without the teacher noticing.

"Jordan I think... I'm not quite sure, I mean it's always one of them." By one of them he means the popular kids. It is very high school cliché I know. I am pretty good friends with Jordan but I'm not really in any need of attention so I keep our friendship on a minimum. Sophia dumps down next to me and exhales deeply. She is my best friend made of girl material that I have. I actually have a lot of friends but these two are my closest.

"What's up Sophia?" I glance down at her. She is like 5'2, which is extremely short, compared to me. Her shirt brown hair is pulled back into a punytail.

"Nothing." She says enthusiastic and smiles big time to me. I swear that girl is always happy on some level. I chuckle at her and pull up my books and earpods. It's time to blast some Easy E.
