We were scared to death. We had lost our voices. It seemed like someone had glued us to our places. After a few moments, we regained our senses. That is when it caught Hawk's attention. A book. It looked like it was locked in an underground library for thousands of years; dusty and worn out. Hawk took out the book from the unknown's bag. As soon as he opened the book, it flew away from his hands and right in front of us. After that what happened was astonishing. "Ccccaaallllll aaa ggoooodd ssppiirriitt!!!" The book said to us. It fell down in front of us with a particular page open. I took the book carefully off the floor. The page had a title on it 'How to summon a good spirit.' It had instructions underneath it. We all exchanged doubtful glances. But this was our only hope.

Weseated ourselves in a circle surrounding the board. We started chantingaccording to the instructions in the book. The coin started moving suddenly. The human-shaped smoke reappeared and scared us. We thought the bad spirit hadcome back for vengeance. But to our relief, we had succeeded in summoning a good spirit. We told it everything about our condition. "I am not sure whether I could help you. I would have to fight the bad spirit. If I win, you could get your friend back." It said and we smiled in relief. "But-"Yes, there was a 'but' in that. "If I lose the battle, then your friend wouldvanish from everyone's lives. All his memories will be erased." The thought ofhim vanishing from our lives scared us, but we had to take this chance.

Thebattle began. The good spirit on the right, the bad one on the left and inbetween them laid our unconscious unknown friend. Everything went by quickly.Everything around; curtains, furniture, caught fire. Andthe warriors, they were nowhere to be seen. Not even our friend. Winds were blowing, doors and windows were openingand closing and fire was spreading like anything. We tried to escape butsuddenly everything went black.  Next thing I remember is that I woke up in my college dorm and by my side on the other bed was my roommate: Musa. At first, I thought that it was just a nightmare. But I was curious and couldn't stop myself from taking my camera out, for the photos we took. I couldn't find him in those. Then I took out the albums and photographs were missing in it. Thatis when I realized that I don't remember his name, his appearance or anythingabout him other than the fact that he was my childhood friend. That is whenMusa woke up. She was also in the same state: puzzled. So, we decided to go tothe boy's dorm, to Hawk. And as we expected, he also had photographs and albums all over the floor, confused. We came to the conclusion that what happened couldn't be a mere coincidence of nightmares. It had something more to it and that something more was reality. We don't know what happened to that guy or where he is. Many unanswered questions, many unsolved puzzles but everything was a mystery until next time.

"Stel ... Stel, wake up! We have reached." I woke from my slumber as Musa shook my shoulder. I rubbed my eyes and yawned. I looked out of the car's window to see the mansion of my nightmares: The Pegasus, right in front of my eyes; even its smallest detail making me shudder.

Musa had told us that a road had been built onthe mountain leading to the Mansion. But no one had an answer to my question asto why a road was built to lead to such a place where no one really wanted to go. Peculiar, I would say.

I opened the car's door and stepped down onto the ground, the cracking noise of dry leaves disrupting the silence.
