"They all have strong genes, mother was a pure and so was their father." The small brown haired woman said as she showed the tall, well dressed man to the gated-off living room. All that could be heard from down the hall was a tv playing an animal documentary and some purrs and hisses. "How much are you wanting for them?" His deep voice rumbled as they arrive at the waist high gated doorway. "Females are about £700 each and the males are around 600 but the little squirt sat at the tv is about 500." She said pointing to the tiny neko sat mesmerised by the tv. His blue tipped ear twitched slightly and his tale flicked making the man and woman chuckle slightly. "Why is he less than the others?" The man whispered quietly, trying not to attract the little nekos attention. "He's the runt of the litter and is a little trouble maker so the husband wants him gone as soon as possible. He also has a peanut allergy so he's quite a high maintenance  take on." The man nodded and looked over to the other nekos all having a rough and tumble and playing with each other. "Ethan." The woman said getting the mesmerised nekos attention. "Can you come here?" The little neko turned and crawled to the gate, raising his hands to be picked up once he got there. Leaning over the gate the woman picked him up and rested him on her hip. "Don't be shy." She said as he buried his head in her side and began sucking his thumb. "How long until he can leave?" The tall man asked and began to stroke the soft fur at the base of Ethans pointed ears. "Well, they get weaned off their mothers milk completely over the next week, so, any point from then on they are able to leave." She answered and moved back to the gate. "Would you like to come in?" She said opening the baby gate, "they're all friendly, I'm about to give them their first full solid meal so if you have any more questions you can ask me while they are distracted." She finished as she walked into the locked off room and placed ethan down on the floor again. The suited man followed her into the room, careful of all the little nekos and their delicate tails. "You can sit on the sofa," the woman said as she made her way into the kitchen, "just be careful of toys and poo, some still aren't toilet trained yet." She turned back to the kitchen counter as the suited man carefully sat on the sofa.

A tugging on his pant leg pulled his attention from the tv to Ethan holding his arms up. "Ethan, that's Mr Scheid, he's gonna be your new owner." The woman, Mary, said as she walked back into the living room with a large plate of broken up tinned tuna. It was placed on the floor and all the other nekos ran or crawled to it and began stuffing their faces, all except Ethan. "What's the matter little guy?" Mr scheid said as he looked down to Ethan who was still holding his arms up. His big blue eyes begged the man silently and his wish was answered when he was picked up and plopped on Mr Scheids lap. The small boy nuzzled into the adults stomach. "He gets fed separate from the others, they would push him away so he never got much food." Mary said sitting on the sofa with a little plate of tuna for Ethan. "Would you like to feed him? He's very gentle" Mr Scheid nodded and picked up some of the tuna. "Do you wanna come home with me next week? You'll be perfect for my son, Tyler." Ethan looked up with a mouthful of tuna and nodded at the man. "Very well then, looks like I've found him a birthday present after all" the man smiled and continued to feed ethan.

"TYLER!" His father shouted from downstairs, "COME DOWN AND GET YOUR BREAKFAST, YOUR PRESENTS AREN'T GOING TO WAIT ALL DAY!" At the mention of presents Tyler rushed down the stairs to see several presents on the dining room then ran to the kitchen to see his mother making delicious pancakes. "Eat up quick, there is a very time sensitive present for you but you have to eat first." Tyler's father said as he took a swig from his coffee mug.

"Are your eyes closed?" His mother's sweet voice said as she walked into the room, tyler nodded and heard a quiet thud in front of him. "Okay, open." His parents said in sync and he removed his hands to see a cardboard box. He looked at it curiously and began to open the flaps when his mother grasped his wrist. "Stay calm and don't react extremely." She said before letting go and sitting next to his father on their sofa. Tyler continued to open the box slower and held his breath as he peered over the box edge to see a little neko curled up in the corned holding onto a small teddy Tyler hadn't noticed disappear from his room. "Tyler," his mother said moving to kneel next to him as she reached into the box. "This is Ethan." She said lifting the little neko out and holding him to her chest. "He's very shy so you need to stay calm so he isn't frightened okay? Do you want to hold him?" Tyler nodder to both questions and held his arms out. Gently his mother pulled Ethan away from her chest and passed him to Tyler. The second Ethan took in Tylers scent he buried his nose into the older boys shirt and began to pur. "Happy 10th birthday ty, make sure you look after him." His parents said getting up to give them some time to bond. Before his father left he turned and smiled "don't give him peanuts." He said then left Tyler with the tiny purring neko.
