The Worlds Between Us ON HIATUS

Chapter 1

I feel like compared to the prologue this chapters writing is going to be bad because the prologue had some of my best writing. Just gonna also explain that J'onn has never met Barry or Cisco in my story so I don't wanna cause any confusion.

Barry had just woken up when his phone suddenly started to ring. He groaned and sped to pick it up.

"Joe it's five in the morning. What do you need?" Barry questioned, rubbing his hand down his face.

"We need you down at CCPD. A new case just came up and we need you to take a look at it."

Barry groaned again. "Give me ten minutes."

"You have eight."

After Barry hung up he set his phone back down on his counter. He stretched out his tired arms before speeding to change.

"What are we looking at Joe?" Barry asked, looking down at strange patterns on the ground.

"We don't know. None of our teams know what it is and we hoped that you could help us with it."

"Well um.. let me ask one of my friends who's into this type of stuff if she knows."

"Make it quick we don't have all day," Joe said while turning around to face Barry.

Barry nodded before turning and pulling out his phone. "Cisco I'm going to need you to breach me to Earth 38."

Barry could hear Cisco exclaim in excitement. "Are we going to bring Supergirl over?"

"Yes Cisco and you need to get over your crush on her. It's not going to work," Barry rolled his eyes.

Cisco scoffed, "I will get over her if you stop bringing her to this earth."

"Cisco that's not going to happen. You know her and Oliver are kind of a thing right?"

Cisco rolled his eyes even though he knew Barry couldn't see him. "Oh how could I forget the most powerful couple in the multiverse?"

"Cisco just hurry up."

"Fine I'm coming, I'm coming." Soon a blue breach opened just in front of Barry and Cisco walked out, removing his goggles. "You seriously owe me after this."

"What would you even want?"

"I want to see you and Kara sing."

Barry gaped, "Oh yea never gonna happen. Now just hurry up and breach us over there."

Cisco put his goggles back on and extended his hand. A light blue beam shot out from his glove and another breach materialized into the air. "Earth 38 here we come."

When the two men walked out of the breach they landed in a place that they could only think of as downtown National City. They only had a second to look at it before a massive piece of rubble was thrown over their heads. "Barry, Cisco duck!" Kara yelled at them right before the rubble would've struck them.

"Woah! Guess we caught her at a bad time," Cisco said while ducking.

"You think? Now come on we got to get out of the way of the fight," Barry yelled back at him.

Cisco quickly opened another breach, this one putting them far behind the two aliens fighting. They moved just in time as Kara was thrown back into the wall behind where they were just standing. She quickly got up again and charged the alien, knocking him back several feet where he crashed onto the ground, unmoving.

Kara turned to walk towards Barry and Cisco, but Barry quickly sped her out of the way when the alien threw a rock at her back. "Thanks for the save, but I didn't need you to."

"I know you didn't, but I still did it anyways," Barry smirked at her.

"Look out!" Kara yelled, shoving Barry to the side when a car was thrown at the two. Kara crossed her arms to block the car, but was still knocked back into a light post. The post had no chance against the amount of force that Kara hit it with as it bent and fell on top of her.

Kara hadn't moved and the alien smirked as it walked forwards, It's eyes now glowing red. Just as the alien fired Barry sped forwards and picked Kara up, just narrowly missing the rays. 

Barry sped Kara to where Cisco was hiding as he quickly ran up to the alien. "Hey I don't appreciate you trying to kill my friend."

"You think you can stop me?"

Barry grinned, "Oh I know I can." Barry quickly sped around the alien, the energy building in his body that he soon released at the alien in the form of lighting. The alien was not expecting the hit and collapsed.

After the alien was down Barry quickly ran to Kara and Cisco. Kara was now recovered and starting to stand up. "Well I wouldn't recommend getting hit by a car," Kara mumbled, shaking her head.

Barry chuckled. "Hey what do you guys need?" Kara asked, looking up at Barry. 

"Well before we knew that you were fighting an alien we were just gonna ask if you could come check out a strange symbol that we just found this morning."

"Yeah just let me drop this guy off at containment. You can follow me if you want."

"Okay." Kara took off in a blue and red blur shortly followed by Barry and Cisco. Once they arrived at the DEO Cisco looked around in amusement. "This is so awesome!"

"J'onn I'm going to be needing a few days away from the DEO to help Barry on a case," Kara told a stern looking black man that Barry had to guess was J'onn and he sheepishly waved.

J'onn wasn't impressed by the young man who had just waved at him and his long haired friend who seemed like he was going to explode with excitement. "Make sure you are ready to work when you get back and also tell Alex where you are going."

Kara nodded and turned back around to Barry and Cisco. "Okay so I just need to tell my sister where we are going and then I can help you." As soon as Kara finished her sentence Alex walked into the main part.

"Oh Alex I was just looking for you. I'm going to Barry and Cisco's earth to help with a case."

"As long as there's no Nazis I'm fine with you going," Alex shuddered at the thought.

"Alex I've gone over there multiple times to visit Oliver and not once have Nazis come so I doubt they will this time."

"Just be careful," Alex said, hugging Kara.

After the two finished Kara quickly sped away, returning a few seconds later with a duffel bag at her feet. "Ready to go?"

Cisco quickly opened another breach, the three stepping through.
