I bow; he laughs and then traces the dots on his wrist. A gust of wind surrounds his body until a sword appears in his hand. The blade is pure ice. The short dragger looks harmless but one touch is death for any human. His veins rise to the surface of his skin showing every vein in his arm. But his other arm is perfectly fine and normal looking. I grin in seconds my sword that is made entirely of fire is inches from his neck. I slide the long blade across his neck a burn mark appears but like magic is gone. My red eyes narrow as our eyes meet.
A crash of thunder roars around us breaking my stare. He jumps back letting out a small laugh. He dashes behind me wrapping his strong arms around my neck and then laying the other across my chest. I glance up.
“I’m so scared.” I tease; I run my hand over the dots dismissing the sword. “Alde” I say trying to get from his grip. Not paying any attention he also dismisses his dragger. Then I step on his foot bring his attention back to me.
“Sorry” Alde almost whispers as he lets me go. I playfully punch his arm which only makes him pick me up. Throwing my over his husky shoulder like a rag doll. I try to break free but he just laughs ruffling my red hair. I finally stop and let my arms wave in the wind.
“Can we go back home now?” I whine as he walks out of the ally, my body still thrown over his shoulder. A smile appears on his face he then pokes my forehead. “Is someone hungry?” Alde teases, I feel as my face turns bright red. Before he could see I bury my face into his shoulder, which only makes him laugh more.
