Alex POV

Impatiently, Alex tapped his foot on the sidewalk, waiting for the bus to come. When it finally got there, he practically sprinted onto the bus, taking his seat in the very back seat of the bus. He put on his headphones and turned on his music, at full volume. He hadn't heard his friend Eric calling him. He annoyingly tapped Alex's shoulder repeatedly. Alex grabbed his hand and looked at him.

"What the fuck do you want?" Alex said, annoyed, while taking of his headphones.

"What do you mean 'what do I want'? Don't you remember our bet?" Eric said, with a grin on his face.

He had forgotten about the bet he made with Eric. Eric bet him $5 that Tonya and Devon (2 kids that sat in the bus with them) would date for a whole week.

"Dude, they'll totally hit it off." Eric had said.

"No way, man. Not possible," he had said. "Not our Tonya and Devon." Oh how wrong he was now, he thought. Alex groaned, and gave Eric his $5. "I honestly didn't think they'd be able to do it," he said.

"Devon, shut up," he heard Tonya say to Devon.

"God, you're so fucking annoying, Tonya," Devon said. "We're done."

"Ugh, fine," Tonya said, kicking the seat and crossing her arms.

Alex looked at Eric with a 'told-you-so' look on his face, which almost immediately turned into a 'haha-now-give-me-my-money-back' look on his face. Eric groaned, relentlessly giving Alex back his money. Alex laughed.

"Thank you," he said, extending the "you."

"Fuck you," he said, mocking Alex and giving him a fake smile.

Alex laughed slightly, then put his headphones back on when Eric went to talk to Devon, Tonya, Kevin, and Erin. Alex looked over the bus. In the front is where most of the people who get a whole seat to themselves (all us lucky people) and all the people who didn't talk to very many people on the bus. In the middle was where all the people who share seats with someone but talk only a little more than the people in the front talked. In the back was where all the 'cool kids' sat. Meaning jocks, preps, popular white people, popular black people, and more.

Alex tried to figure out which one he was. After a few moments of thought, he concluded that he was one of the middle people. He sighed and slightly head-banged to what he was listening to. He was listening to All Time Low, Somewhere in Neverland. He quietly sang along to the song.

"I wanna be your lost boy, your last chance, your 'everything-better' plan. Oh... Somewhere in Neverland." he sang quietly.

The bus soon pulled up to their school and he waited for everyone else to get out, before getting out himself. He sprinted to his locker and got everything he needed, then speed-walked to English with Mr. Caesar. He took a seat next to Eric, giving him a fist-bump. Everything was perfectly normal... until a girl walked into the class.
