"Are you excited to be back?" my dad asked while he was unpacking some of his stuff. "Yes, I can't wait to see Skylar again"I said. Skylar has been my best friend since we were about 3 years old and we even kept contact while I was in Europe. Suddenly my mom who must have heard us said "You can go over to her house after you're finished unpacking if you like"
The thought of seeing her again made me happy and so I ran outside to grab the last boxes from our car. Just when I was about to run back into the house I heard someone say "I think you lost something." I turned around and saw the probably most handsome guy I've ever seen. He had dark brown hair,tanned skin and brown eyes.After I noticed that I should stop staring at him I said "thanks" and took the book I must have dropped from his hands. He smiled and I thought it may be good to introduce myself "I'm Giulia, I just moved back here, I've been in Spain for 5 years because of my dads job" The expression on his face changed and to me he looked confused or surprised? I couldn't really tell. "Giulia ?" he asked with a smile on his face again. "Yes, that's my name" I said confused. "Sorry,don't you remember me? I'm Jack, Jack Gilinsky your neighbor, we were best friends before you left to Europe." Of course I knew instantly who he was,I've always had a crush on him but he wasn't that hot when I last saw him. "Oh my god Jack of course,sorry I didn't recognize you but you've..."I paused,now starring at his trained body."changed." Luckily I wasn't the only one staring and after a while he said "Uhm no problem, I didn't recognize you at first either." "I have to go now I'm gonna head to Skylar's house and surprise her, she doesn't know I'm back yet." "Okay, I guess I'll see you around?" "Sure see you." Right before I was closing the door he shouted "Giulia?" "Yes?" "It's good to see you again." He said slightly blushing. "It's good to see you too." I said,probably looking like a tomato.He flashed me a smile got into his car and drove away.

After I was finished unpacking I drove to Skylars house and knocked at her door. "I'm coming" I heard her say and got even more excited. When the door opened I jumped into her arms and we both started crying like little babies. I didn't even realize how much I missed her hugs and just seeing her in general until that moment.We eventually stopped hugging after a few minutes and she invited me inside.We talked for an hour about random things and our plans for the summer since it was the beginning of summer break when jack came into my mind again. "Oh my god Skylar, why didn't you tell me how hot Jack got?" "Jack Johnson?" she asked with a upset look on her face I didn't understand. "No my neighbor Jack Gilinsky,the one I've always had a crush on when we were little." "I know who Jack Gilinsky is" she said laughing "I don't know he isn't really my type, I never saw him that way" "HE IS SO HOT" I screamed. "But wait why did you get so upset when you talked about Johnson" "Well.."she started but couldn't finish because I had my own theory "You like him, don't you?" "It's complicated" "I don't think so, he liked you since we were 9 and you like him so what's the problem?" "He has a girlfriend." she answered sounding really sad "I'm sorry Skylar, why did you never tell me about this ?" "I guess I just didn't wanted to talk about it" I pulled her into a hug. "We'll find you a cute guy, I promise" "Thanks Giulia, I really missed having you here" "I missed you too" "Oh and about g..." I looked at her curious what she was about to say "I think he's seeing Leigh, I don't know if you remember her." "Oh" i responded,not able to hide,that that made me kind of upset, even though I didn't even knew why. "They aren't official or anything but I think she likes him" "Even if they were it wouldn't bother me"I said, trying to sound like I meant it. "Sure" she said,giving me a knowing look. We continued talking until my mom sent me a message,saying I have to come home because we're having dinner.I told Skylar I had to go and drove home.

"Mom,dad I'm home" I shouted when I walked inside the house. A few seconds later my mom came out of her and my dads room and looked like she was about to go somewhere "Hey sweetie" "Hey where are we going ?" We're gonna have dinner at Katherine and David's house." "You mean Jack's parents ?" I asked sounding a bit to excited. "Yes,go get ready we're leaving at 5:45, I'll go to the shop and buy them a gift" I looked onto my phone and saw it was 5:02 and realized I still had to shower,so I ran up to the bathroom.
After I was done showering I put on some light makeup blow dried my hair and straightened it.I decided to wear a oversized t shirt and a skinny jeans since we were only going to our neighbors house.

I went downstairs and my parents and I headed to our neighbors...
