*Beca's POV*
"Chloe, wait!" I yelled to the redhead. I ignored the blonde she was walking with until they both turned around and I noticed it was Aubrey. They were probably just leaving auditions and going back to their dorms. Chloe's face lit up when she saw it was me, and she shyly smiled. Aubrey, however, gave me the same bitchy look she did yesterday at the activities fair. She rolled her eyes at me and whispered something to Chloe just before I walked up. Chloe shot Aubrey the death glare and elbowed her side angrily. "Shut it, Aubs." She firmly demanded.
"Ow, you bitch!" Aubrey shouted back at Chloe. Chloe just rolled her eyes at Aubrey and refocused her attention on me.
"Hey, Beca. What's up? Wish I would have seen you at auditions..." she said, sounding disappointed. Aubrey's eyes widened and she looked at Chloe, confused.
"Uh.. yeah, about that..." I begin with an awkward smile on my face. "I honestly meant to come to auditions, but things got kind of complicated at the radio station..." I say shyly.
"The radio station?" Chloe questioned skeptically. "Isn't there like those three weirdos that work there?" She added. Aubrey gave me a disgusted look. Apparently the place doesn't have a very well maintained reputation.
I smirked and responded sarcastically "well.... four now." I winked. "It's a long story..." I sighed. Chloe brushed it off. "Okay... soooo anyways, what about auditions?" She asked with a hopeful look on her face. The vein in the middle of Aubrey's forehead was bulging, so I could tell she was getting impatient and annoyed.  I cocked my eyebrow.
"Well, I was sort of hoping you'd still let me audition for you guys..." I begin to say.
Aubrey cut me off laughing and rolled her eyes saying "you don't even sing, remember?"
Chloe shot Aubrey a look and defended me "come on, Aubs you don't even know! She has an amazing voice." Aubrey looked at Chloe confused and snapped back "uhh, yeah? How would you know, Chlo?"
I looked at Chloe, curious as to what she was going to say and noticed she was bright red. No shit! Chloe is blushing over me?! She didn't say anything. Aubrey started to turn her head to look at me for the answer so I just stared at the ground smirking. It was painfully quiet for a few seconds before Aubrey pressed on. "Chloe, why in the hell are you blushing? And will someone just answer the damn question?!"
I laughed and Aubrey glared at me. Chloe still wouldn't answer, so I just smiled at Aubrey and insisted "it's a story for another time, will you please just let me audition for you?"
Aubrey squinted at me, irritated and looked over to Chloe. Chloe had a vulnerable look on her face and softly mouthed "please" to Aubrey. Aubrey rolled her eyes and demanded "fine, sing."
I paused before nervously letting out a small laugh. "Right here? Dude, seriously?" I said to Aubrey. Chloe noticed me getting nervous as I was playing with my hands and bouncing my leg the same way I did last night in the shower. Aubrey gestured at me to sing, completely ignoring my question. "In the middle of fucking campus?" I asked slightly angry, pressing my previous question.
This pissed Aubrey off and she was just about to open her mouth to say something smart when Chloe rushed up to my side and grabbed my wrist. "Nope!" She exclaimed, interrupting Aubrey. "You can come to our room!" She smiled and started walking quickly, dragging me behind her. Aubrey scoffed before letting out a long and stressful sigh. She lightly rubbed her temples and put a fake smile on her face before following behind us.
Chloe's hand had made its way from my wrist to my hand as she continued to drag me along. I was wearing my heel boots and she was walking way too damn fast, so I was always a step or two behind her.
Aubrey watched in disbelief from a distance as her best friend dragged me hand in hand to their room. Aubrey obviously doesn't like me, but I don't really understand why. Probably because she's a preppy bitch and I'm just me. The "dark and mysterious" Beca Mitchell. Aubrey looked at us as if she's trying to figure out why her best friend had taken such interest in the small alternative girl; and honestly, I'm wondering the same thing.
We finally made it to the dorms, and Chloe dropped my hand as soon as we got to the doors. She looked back at Aubrey and cleared her throat when she saw the "what the fuck" expression on Aubrey's face. She cracked a small smile and asked "coming, Aubs?" Aubrey didn't say anything but hesitantly nodded her head yes.
We walked to the elevator and waited in awkward silence before the doors eventually opened. Chloe nudged me and said "come on" smiling at me. Her and I got in the elevator before Aubrey. Aubrey gave both of us a dirty look before turning around and pressing the button for the third floor.
I was extremely nervous and skeptical, and elevators made me claustrophobic, so I unbuttoned by shirt a little bit, revealing a small amount of cleavage. I started fidgeting with my hands again, and Chloe noticed. She subtly reached over and grabbed my hand to hold it again. I tried to pull it away, but she just tightened her grip. I turned and looked at her shocked, but she just looked into my eyes and mouthed "it's okay" slightly smiling. I sympathetically smiled and nodded. Just then the elevator stopped and the doors opened. Aubrey stepped out mumbling something to herself. Chloe kept my hand in hers and started dragging me to their room.
After walking into the room, both of the girls turned around and stared at me. Aubrey had her arms crossed and was impatiently tapping her toes. Chloe just stared and smiled.
"Uh... what am I supposed to sing?" I asked awkwardly. Aubrey rolled her eyes and scoffed "the audition song was supposed to be Since U Been Gone..."
Chloe interrupted again, almost as if she was trying to protect me from Aubrey. "It's okay Beca, sing anything you'd like." she said nodding at me.
I looked around the room and smiled when I saw an empty yellow cup on one of the girls' desks. "May I?" I ask, pointing to the cup. Chloe gestured to go for it, so I made my way to the desk and cleared a small area. I began making a beat with the cup before singing a song my mom taught me when I was younger.
Chloe was intrigued by my voice and the song... I think. I also caught her staring at my boobs a couple times, so who knows? It's a good thing I unbuttoned my shirt in that elevator. Aubrey was acting like she wasn't impressed, but I saw the way she perked up when I started to sing.
As I finished the song, a huge smile grew across Chloe's face. She looked mesmerized or some shit. Maybe she was speechless, because neither girl said anything. The anticipation was stupid high. Aubrey raised her eyebrows and squinted at me a bit.
Chloe stepped forward and grabbed me by both of my wrists, leaning in close. "You did great, Becs." She said, winking. "We'll let you know tomorrow" she continued. Then she walked me to the door. She looked me in the eyes and smiled. "See you then!"
I smiled. "Thanks Chloe..." I said quietly. ".... And thanks Aubrey!" I sarcastically shouted to the blonde behind her. Chloe quietly snickered and rolled her eyes, smiling. "See you later, badass Beca." She winked and shut the door behind her. I smirked and started heading for the stairs. I'm on the fourth floor, and I was not getting back in that damn elevator.
I sigh. Chloe's calling me names, staring at my tits, holding my hand, looking into my eyes, and winking at me. She has to be gay. I smiled at the thought and put my earbuds in, playing Titanium. From this point forward, I will always think about Chloe when this song plays. I thought back to the shower incident and laughed to myself when I remembered her mentioning something about it being her "lady jam." For some reason, I really like this girl, despite being my polar opposite, and I probably like her way too much.

A/N: Hey guys, so I wasn't really expecting any people to read this. I was pretty much just writing for myself, until I noticed I was getting reads. I'm pretty much just writing the story as I go, so I'm sorry the story is incomplete and my publishing is inconsistent. I'm a really busy person and don't have a lot of free time to write, so bare with me. Thanks!
