{Chapter 9}

That night, you slept alone. You had found a place to make a small bed out of pillows and blankets.

Everything was so complicated now..millions of thoughts flew through your head as you sat there. You needed a break. It would be nice to get away from all the things you never wanted in the first place.

You stood up and slowly walked to where Max and Lindsey were sleeping. You stared at them then went to go see Pennywise. He looked so peaceful, yet emotionless. You stared at his sleeping form then slowly backed away and started to look for your escape route.

Go and never come back, you thought and smiled to yourself. Never coming back sounded nice to you. The forest in Derry sounded like a nice place to get lost in...

So that's where you went. The little tree filled area would be your new home.

You smiled as you climbed out of the sewers and onto flat, dry concrete. It was in the dead of night, the moon was out and shining brightly. It felt so...new. Like you hadn't see it for three years.

Oh wait.

You stood there, taking deep breaths and looking around. How beautiful it was...the real world. You immediately got back to your quest and started to look around for a way to get out of there. You didn't want to stay in Derry. You didn't want to stay in Maine.

You didn't want to live on this planet anymore.

But you needed to start off small. You needed to get out of town, at least. You had no money, food, clothes, water..you had nothing. Only about six hours before your family woke up and found you missing.

You shook yourself out of your thoughts and started to look for a path that lead to the end of Derry. After that, you walked down an old dirt road. It felt amazing to be in an open area.

Soon, the stars started to fade from the sky and the sun started to come up. The sky started to change to a bright orange-yellow-red color. You stared at it in amazement.

Then something snapped inside of you. Pennywise was awake by now. You started to panic. He was going to freak out any minute now.

Then you froze. And then you smiled. Pennywise in pain? In sorrow? In sadness? Sounded great to you. Sounded better then great.

It sounded amazing.
