Confess-Bucky Barnes x Reader

"Alright, now watch me."

I nodded and stared at Bucky and his movements completely concentrated to not miss, left, right, right again,kick then punch. It's been a couple of days since we've been practicing and at first I was nervous about him actually hitting me but I learned more and more about him eventually I started to look at him differently than just a friend.

Bucky Barnes. The Winter Soldier. I have a crush on the man that saved my life back then when we fought a couple of our enemies.

"You got that?" he asked smiling to himself.

"Got it." I said nodding my head and got in my position he did too. I was running towards him when the doors opened and Bucky turned around and I accidentally punched him when he didn't block my attack.

"Oh my god! I am so sorry. Are you alright Bucky?!" I asked when he held onto his cheek and I ran over to him.

"You really are strong..Ow.." he hissed and I glared over at who ever interrupted our training and saw Tony smirking to himself with Steve by his side and Natasha with her arms crossed over her chest looking at me holding onto Bucky.

"Sorry to interrupt you two but we got a meeting."

"Can't it wait? I accidentally hurt Bucky and would like to at least get him some ice so his cheek won't hurt anymore?" Natasha muttered something to Steve and Steve to Tony. I stared back at confused and Bucky did too so without saying another word we both headed over to the kitchen and I handed him an ice pack.

"Thanks, (Y/N) you're a real friend." Bucky said with a smile but it kinda broke my heart to him mentioning me just as a friend.

"Yeah anytime.." i said staring down at the ground. I don't want to remain friends with Bucky I want to be more than just old regular friends. "(Y/N). I think you should he careful with your strength." Natasha said coming over.

"She's right. Both of you should." Steve said and Tony nodded agreeing.

I grabbed hold of his real hand which surprised him but saw a warm smile on his lips. I moved my head up and saw everyone heading to the meeting but stopped to stare at us? They began to whisper to one another and quickly they looked away but it was too late. Why have they been staring at us lately?

"Don't know." Bucky said as if he read my mind. "They have been acting weird huh?" he says and smiles a bit wider and look down,his dark long hair covering his eyes.

Over an hour of Tony and Steve talking about the same thing I got bored quickly and would often lean over to Bucky to tell him some kind of joke or make fun of either men up front. Tony would glare at me and I would have to sit back straight and continue his speeches. After that boring meeting I immediately grabbed Buckys hand.

I got a bit annoyed and angry as I passed by my friends and other people as they muttered a couple of things like: ""If they are such close friends why aren't they together?" or also "If she weren't so protective of him I would ask him out."

"Maybe he doesn't actually like her."

"I feel bad for him I always see him following her everywhere."

"I don't think they should be together though for obvious reasons."

Fighting back the tears in my eyes we made it back to the training room. With all those people judging us or more like me I don't think we'll be able to be friends anymore. "(Y/N) are you alright?" Bucky asked worried and caught my shoulders.

"I-I'm fine.."

"Are you sure about that?" Bucky asked making his way in front of me and his dark eyes meeting my own. "I'm scared okay..i'm scared you can hurt me or I can hurt you. Also i've lately been seeing everyone staring at me and judging me."

"(Y/N) no one is judging you."

I turned around and was ready to punch him when he easily caught my fist and turned me around,quickly i stood back up and he dodged my attacks and stepped back each time I got closer, "I hate you for making me feel this way."

Bucky quickly jumped back and tried to hold me still, "Whoa (Y/N) what are you talking about?" I stopped and stared back at him.

"About us Bucky..i've alway's liked you." his eyes widen as he continued to stare at me "More than just a friend for a while.." I refused to meet his eyes so he grabbed my chin and in a second he pressed his lips against mine.

Still to surprised to even react he pulled back and smiled resting his hand on my waist, "i've always like you too (Y/N). I never said a thing cause I thought you liked me as an older brother type." i giggled and rested my hand on his cheek and with the other touched his long hair, "You should've kissed me sooner then." i smiled before we both leaned towards one another again.
