"Aww, it's a pity how hard you worked on it"

Saruhiko brushed of the many insults like always, as wells the daily kick in the shins, Niki Fushimi's heavy footsteps traveled down the hallway and out the front door, slamming the door close as he left.

He stayed on his knees, staring at the shredded up essay laying in pieces before picking them up, he didn't feel like restarting the assignment like last time and turning it in late, instead, he simply picked up every fragment of the paper and reassembled it like a puzzle piece. Taping the pieces together, he made a mental note to rewrite it on a separate piece of paper during lunch.

Slapping a few band-aids on his legs, fixing his sleeves over his bruises, and carefully placing the taped up essay between his books, and left to attend school.

This was the daily schedule of eleven-year-old Saruhiko Fushimi, his father's abusive behavior was nothing more than an annoyance, fighting back would give his father a satisfying victory, ignoring him completely would just make Niki even more persistence in his actions, the torn up essay for example.

Niki Fushimi can only be defined as sociopathic.

Every day, Saruhiko arrives at school fifteen minutes before the bus comes and drops off the rest of the student, he sits down to relish the peaceful silence. There were a few students who either walked to school or had their parents drop them off. The twinge of envy that he felt watching the other students have worn off long ago, accepting the fact he'll never receive a single ounce of parental love.

When the time has come to get to class, Saruhiko already has written down three-fourths of the essay onto a different sheet, carefully placing the delicate papers in his bookbag, he entered the school.

Saruhiko wasn't the most sociable kid, he kept to himself, only speaking up if needed. His cold personality left the impression that he didn't want to be bothered, so the students rarely talk to him. This was completely fine with Saruhiko, the fewer people bothering him, the better.

The school seemed to go a bit smoother than usual, the rowdy students were unusually calm, the teacher's word actually made sense, not a single annoying love letters stuffed into his locker, and he finishes rewriting the essay just in time. The day was absolutely perfect.
