*Hangs up*

Being the blue king can be quite stressful, considering he has to keep his clansmen in check, protecting the public, and tracking down strains.

Except for this particular week, he got all his work done, blue clansmen on their best behavior, no strains in sight.

The blue king had not had a day off for a while, and his clansmen have been nagging him because of it, he thought about it, remembering that one bakery he crosses that had some pretty good pie.

For the first time in days, he could hear a distance sirens, heavily sighing, he changed direction with an apple pie package in a box. Avoiding the glass shards and oily puddles, Jin reached the scene flashing red and blue.

A second has gone by just as a bloody woman was being reeled out, her skin was blue and purple, most of the blood seeping from her head. A scepter 4 clansmen exited the house after them, in her arms was a little girl, wearing a ratty nightgown.

"Ah! Captian Habari is there something you need here?" The little girl that was being held slowly turn to face him with curious eyes, he finally notices how sickly pale she was, her frame was thin, but still seems to be eating enough to go by, Her right cheek was bruised and had dry blood.

Her hair was similar to the woman passing by, white hair except was unkept and short, her eyes a golden shade, "I just happen to be passing by, but then I heard the first disturbance in days, what exactly is happening here?"

"Originally, the little girl's mother shoved down the stairs by a strange figure who immediately dissipated into dust according to the girl, most likely pointing to a strain, and since the mother is known to hang around sketchy people"

"Then?"

"Well we checked, the girl calls herself Marina but she is not in any database, the condition she lives in isn't meant for a child, she's only nine"

Jin gaze on the girl's small frame again, he thought she was six or seven, Marina stared at the pie he was holding, her eyes full of curiosity, like it was some kind of never seen before technology, "Here, let me see her"

Marina didn't even flinch at the contact as she slid out of the clansmen's arm and into Jin's, he gave the pie to the clansmen and ask them to follow him. Carefully placing her down to a police car, he finally notices her milk mustache and a few crumbs on the side, with a handkerchief, he wipes the milk and crumbs away.

Taking back the package goods, Jin took out a napkin from inside, he gave Marina a pre-slice apple pie.

"...What is it?" She seems hesitant speaking to them, it didn't look like she leaves the house much during the day, "It's apple pie, it will be enough to fill you up"

"But I have already eaten"

"It's dessert than" Marina tilted her head in confusion, she turns back to the slice and took a large bite from it, leaving bits of crumbs everywhere, then she went back to gazing at him to see if he was satisfied. Nodding, Jin walks back to his subordinates, from the corner of his eyes, her lips curved with a sly smile

Probably just his imagination.

~12 minutes earlier~

Marina stared at her mother's form just laying at the bottom of the stairs, midway down the stairs, there was a large dent in the wall where she smashed her head in. The little albino's stomach growled loudly, distracting Marina from what she just did, "I'm kinda hungry"

She recoils from the smell of the barf puddle at the top stairs, not wanting to deal with it, she swings onto the railing and wraps her legs around for safety.  Sliding down the railing, she jumped at the end to avoid the puddle of blood, pushing the chair towards the cabinet, Marina climbed onto the counter to reach the Cabinet doors.

Inside were bread that she got from earlier, placing it on the table, Marina stuck her head into the fridge to see if there were any ingredients before spotting the milk carton, "Warm milk sounds good..."

Marina messily chewed on her sandwich, leaving bits of crumbs everywhere, looking back at her mother, she was quite surprised to see her still breathing, gulping down the glass of warm milk, she glanced at the phone hanging on the wall, "Might as well call for help..."

It didn't take long for the authority to open the unlocked door that her mother apparently forgot to lock, one with a blue uniform scooped her up from the kitchen chair. Others rushed in with medical equipment ad stretcher, as Marina was being carried away, a few more rushed upstairs.

"I wonder if they'll find father in the attic"

Since I don't have any school for an entire week, I was hoping to update most of my stories, but my body won't give me a break, I have been feeling sick for two days, can't write anything when I'm constantly blowing my nose. Looks like I have to wait it out.
