Katsu

Honestly, meetings with my dad are very awkward. He really doesn't understand how a normal teenager works, since he was nowhere near a normal teenager.

Dad is constantly on my back about getting into sport, but I have no interest. Sport makes me sad, and I don't want to be sad.

I turned to my mom as he pulled up at the drop off point, "do I have to go this weekend? I have so much study" I complained trying to get out of the weekend long visit.

"No, you didn't go the week before last and your dad cried on the phone for about an hour" my mom said as he undid his belt.

I let out a loud groan in frustration tilting my head black as I grumpily got out of the car.

Dad was waiting over by the bridge as per usual. His hair was flowing in the breeze, his silver locks looked like silk which made me internally jealous. Dad hasn't aged much either, but you can definitely tell he is older than mom by a few years. A few wrinkles were forming on his face, but he had kind of aged like.... Robert Downey Jr.... you know? Pretty?

"Daddy!!" Maya exclaimed as she ran over to him. I rolled by eyes. She's not a child, but boy does dad play into the thought that she was.

Dad scooped her up into his strong arms and hugged her. "Hey princess! I'm so glad to see you again!" He Said as though he hadn't seen her in months. Then his attention turned to me.

"Hey son! I'm glad to see you came... Oh... you brought books.." He Said in a sort of disappointed tone.

I sighed and tightened my grip on my schoolbag nodding dismissively, "It's nice to see you too.."

Dad smiled a little and patted my shoulder before turning to mom who was awkwardly rubbing his arm and looking away from him. Though mom and dad fixed things between them, it was awkward, but especially for mom and us, as dad didn't know he was dating again.

"Hey yurii..." dad mumbled as he smiled at mom, you could see that dad still loved mom with all his heart, but something was keeping them apart, making them seem more distant.

"Hello Victor... Make sure to have them back here Sunday night, but not late, they have school" mom said wanting to keep the meets between them short and formal.

"Yeah I know... well bye..." dad replied in a saddened tone, and with that he picked up our bags and began making his way over to his car, alongside my sister.

I turned to mom and kissed him gently on the cheek before running off to dad.

Boy was I not looking forward for this weekend.
