chapter 1

After what happened with Natalie and Victor I left the academy with permission from Kirova of course.
I only told two people were I was going, Kirova and Alberta.

It's been four months but things happened I've changed I've done things that I never thought I'd do until I was at least 18.
I had been blocking the bond for months until now.

I was sat in Kirovas office talking to her and Alberta
"Rose what happened" Alberta asked worryingly
"I went to see the Queen, she understood why I was there and allowed me to help her work. But there was an attack on the palace"
"What" Alberta gasped
"What I am about to say goes no further than this room, on the Queens orders"
They both nodded
"The attack on the palace caused many Guardians to die so I had to take my test early but because I had already killed five stragoi I didn't need to take the test. I am guardian Rose Hathaway now but she's allowed me to return to protect lissa, also I am to graduate when everybody else does but I will be teaching classes here with Guardian belikov" when I said his name they both looked weird
"Last thing the only people that are to know what I was doing are you two, lissa and Belikov, if anyone is to ask why I am a guardian it's because I was on a mission for the past few months. I am now officially Lissa dragomirs guardian so anything wrong you come to me"
"Of course rose and I'm so sorry you've had to grow up so fast" Kirova said
"I know me too but I'm eighteen in a few days and graduation isn't for another year so for now well be alright"
Before anybody could Say anything else lissa came running in I jumped up and she hugged me

I looked to Alberta and Kirova and hey nodded and we walked out.

We got her room and everybody was there
Eddie, Christian and Mason
I hid behind the door so nobody would see me and I over heard there conversation
"Hey baby what did you run out for"
"I told a surprise so you wanna see"
"Yeah" everyone shouted and I walked in everybody looked shouted and then they jumped up and hugged me
Everyone sat down and we all talked about what they did while I was gone.
Then I looked to liss
"You know what I did don't you"
"Bond" she said nodding

Through the bond lissa said 'rose what happened between you and Guardian belikov"
I looked at her with a confusing look in my eyes
"After you left he stopped, all he does is guard and if he's bit guarding he's in the gym reading it punching stuff"

I looked out of lissas window and saw the lights of the gym on.
"Hey guys I'm tired so I'm going to go and sleep" I lied and obviously lissa knew where I was going.
"OK see you later Rosie"
"Christian call me that again and I'm going to break your nose"
"Bye" he said as his voice quivered.

I walked out the door and over to the gym but before I got to the door alto stopped me
"Hathaway it's past curfew what are you doing"
"1 it's Guardian Hathaway now and 2 I'd go and speak to Kirova if I were you" I said waking past him and I walked into the gym.

"Alto I thought I told to go away or I'd kick your ass and you say anything about how irresponsible rose was leaving I'll make sure you hurt" he said this all without looking up from his book so I walked forward a bit and said
"Still defending me comrade"
A smile crept onto his lips as he heard his nickname but quickly put his guardian mask on as he dropped his Book.
He stood up and looked at me he could tell something was different.
"Well miss Hathaway were have you been"
Until now I had, had a smile on my face
"For what your about to hear your going to want to sit down"
He nodded and sat back down
"After what happened i needed some time so I went to the Queen"
I stopped to let that all soak in he nodded indicating me to go on.
"While I was there. An attack happened, I was one of the people who fought along side the Guardians and because of this I am now Gaurdian Rose Hathaway, in the eyes of everyone, I'm here to protect lissa and Christian with your help. You are no longer a Gaurdian at this school although we will have to take on shifts, the Queen has requested you  Guard Christian as I am Guarding  lissa"
"What really"
"Yes, when it comes to graduation I will graduate with the class but because I am already a Gaurdian I am seen as an adult, so all i need is a  piece of paper that says I graduated high school"
I looked down at my hands and messed with the ring on my finger
"That's not all is it" he said looking at me.
"No its not" I said turning around because tears had began to form in my eyes
"Roza"
I turned around and said
"As you are going to be my guarding partner I am allowed to tell you everything but what I'm about to tell you not even Kirova or Alberta know"
"Roza your starting to scare me"
I turned around and lifted my hair you revealing my battle star.
"You have a battle star" he said shocked
"Rose what happened" he added
"The attack wasn't small, three hundred stragoi stormed the castle, I killed one hundred of them"
"Roza I'm so sorry" I could feel myself about to cry so I looked at him and then I said
"I'm sorry but I have to go, I've got a few things to figure out about what's gonna happen here, oh and by the way I'm helping you and Alberta teach the training class"
"Alright goodbye" I nodded and walked away.

I went to my room and collapsed onto my bed, I didn't have anything to do all I wanted to do was cry but I've been doing that for months so not anymore.
