~Trent POV~
Here we are in the bar again. Not for my but for Cole's sake. I feel bad for him but this is getting out of hand. Yeah I know his girlfriend broke up with him after being with him for two years, and then after they broke up Amanda got engaged to Leo, Cole's older brother. That destroyed him and he hated them. Then the accident happened. He lost two people he loved in a fire, and he just lost it.
We moved Washington to Virginia and switched from University of Washington to Virginia State University. It a big switch, but it's not bad. Especially with this beautiful girl sitting next to me.
She has long brown straight hair with blond high lights, big brown eyes, and a petite figure. She's wearing a mask of concern as she talks to another girl, who must be her friend. The beautiful girl's friend got up to shoot pool so I went to go make my move.
"Hey Cole, I'll be right back. Don't go do anything stupid."
Cole looked at me up and down and then looked at the girl, "break a leg dude. I'll be right here."
I turned and said to her, "hey sweet heart, what's with the long face?"
"Do you just go up to random girls and call them sweetheart, or just me?" She smirked.
"Just you."
We both smiled at each other.
"I'm Trent by the way."
"Jess."
"Jess, is the short for Jessica or Jessie or is it just Jess?"
"It's just Jess, my parents were weird and named me Jess."
"I don't think it's weird, I think it's unique and beautiful like you."
She blushes and smiled at me. She was just about to say something when we both heard glass breaking.
