Chapter nine

~Trent's POV~

Jess and Kim had had class after lunch so Cole and I hung around campus until they were finished. Kim must've gotten out earlier because she was fighting with some dude and Cole had just went to help her. Jess and I were texting the whole time she was in class and she was on her way over to where I was standing.

"Hey," I heard my now favorite voice behind me.

I smiled as she joined my side, " Hello, sweetheart." She shook her head and smirked.

Kim and Cole came walking over and she and Jess exchanged glances. Women. I couldn't help but notice that Kim had a death grip on Cole's hand but quickly dropped it when she realized what I was looking at.

Then out of nowhere Jess just about shouted, "C'MON PEOLPE, MOVE YOUR SLOW ASSES!"

I laughed. She was so...Jess. I wasn't even going to try and deny that I liked her. Because well... I did. I would go any where with her, but I had the feeling she wasn't as willing. I've only known her for two days but as cheesy at it sounds it just might be fate.

I also know that she was hiding something. Because c'mon, what cheerleader is majoring in law. And she didn't ask about my family or my reason for majoring in law, which probably means she didn't want to be asked. But no matter what I was going to get her to tell me. Maybe not today or tomorrow but someday.

~Jess' POV~

The four of us finally made it to the student parking lot and we were all headed to mine and Kim's apartment.

"How do y'all want to do this?" I asked.

Kim shrugged, "Trent can ride with you and Cole and I'll follow you guys."

I raised my eyebrows this was nothing like Kim behavior, but whatever if I could spend more time with Trent I was going to take it.

I nodded, "Okay, Cole are you okay with that?" Cole shrugged.

"Yay!" I yelled and blew them a kiss. I linked arms with Trent a skipped all the way over to my car. Trent shook his head as he climbed into the car.

I started the car and plugged my phone in. I looked at Trant and asked, "Do you mind?" He smiled and shook his head. I sent him and evil smile when the oh so familiar music started to play.

"You're insecure don't know what for..."

He face palmed and muttered "Oh god."

I laughed and said, "If you're going to spend time with me, you better get used to it."

He just shook his head.

We listened to One Direction all the way back to the apartment. We got out of the car as Cole's car pulled. Kim looked as if she enjoyed herself.

Kim climbed out the car and immediately started to laugh when she saw Trent.

"What was it this time? Kiss you? Gotta be you?"

He shook his head and muttered, "What Makes You Beautiful."

Kim laughed and we high fived.

"What did you expect, your hanging out with a self centered bitch.

I faked hurt, " How could you say such a thing."

Kim rolled her eyes as Trent and Cole shook their heads. We then made our way into the building. We took the elevator to the third floor and made our way to apartment, 308.

Kim dug through her backpack for a good 5 minutes before she found her key.

I shook my head as we walked through the door, " Why don't you just keep the damn thing in your bra. It would make your life so much easier."

Cole smirked, "Jess, why don't you just hold the key?"

Shit how the fuck was I supposed to reply to that but thank God for my best friend. Kim smirked, "Because no matter what you think she's no better than I am."

I laughed as I got a soda from the fridge, "Yeah yeah. Anyway if your thirsty or hungry just grab something from the fridge. And if you need us, Trent and I will be in my room."

Kim smirked, "Use protection."

"You too" I said with a grin. I grabbed Trent's hand as I pulled him to my room.
