(Claire's P.O.V)

The night before I remembered to set my alarm for the next day. I wasn't about to make that mistake again. So this morning I got up 7:30 to take a quick shower and do my hair. That took me about an hour, so I got changed and decided to skip breakfast today. I left to school around 8:50 and dropped off my sister on the way.

When I got to school I went to turn in my English paper. Then I dropped some books off at my locker and talked the rest of the morning with some friends.

When the bell rung I walked to art class. Today was a B day so I have second and forth period with Jordan, so I wouldn't see him till later.

I loved art class because she get to express ourselves through art. To explain myself, I was more of a creative type of person more than an academic person. Art was one thing that helped me get away from my problems. unfortunately I had some preppy girls and idiotic boys in my class. But I did my best to ignore them, I was sketching The assignment our teacher gave us when the "In" crowd came over to my table.

"So Claire...what you doing?" asked a girl with blonde hair and a tank top and way to short of shorts.

This kinda of clothing would be considered inappropriate and against school policy, but the girl's mother was friends with the principal. They let her get away with things like this, which was unfair but nobody complained.

"What does it look like I'm doing!?" I said sarcastically.

She was shocked because I normally didn't say anything back I just let them continue to run their mouth till they get bored. She stood there for a second and didn't come back with any snarky remark so she said "C'mon guys let go".

I have to admit I was pretty proud of myself for standing up. Normally, they would blab on about my looks, or bad style, or my family, but I guess today they took it easier which was weird but It was fine by me.

I didn't finish my drawing in class so I'm took it home to finish. On my way to my next period I dropped my art supplies off at my locker and walked to my next class. P.E..

Once we get to class we have to get dressed then come out again so the teachers can take roll call.

The boys have a separated locker rooms than the girls. But afterwards we met up in the gym.

"Hi-ya said a voice behind me".

I turned, and said hi back to Cameron.

One of Jordan's friends.

"Hi" I said back.

" So... I was wondering if you want to go out sometime?" he asked nervously.

"Um...sure?!" I answered back.

To be honest Cameron was hot. He was also the star player on the football team. So for him to even want to ask me out was a big thing. Football wasn't exactly my favorite sport because I loved soccer more, but I have to admit that I can go on dates with him.

"Sounds great! I'll call you sometime and well talk!" Cameron said snapping me out of my thoughts

Then he turned around and walked away as Jordan jogged up.

"What was that?" he asked. I guessed he noticed the smile I still had when I said bye to Cameron.

"Oh nothing, he just asked me out that's all" I said back.

His faced became serious.

When he answered I didn't expect him to react like that.

He answered with a shocked "What! no you can't go with him!?"

"What? Why not?

"Because I said so" he said after a few seconds of hesitation.

After a while of thinking what to say back I decided to say something funny. I came back with "why you jealous".

I guessed he was shocked at my answer and gave a shy smile.

He chuckled after a moment then said "Sorry, I should be happy for you and I and... have fun on your date!" Then smiled once more.

The truth is it killed me inside to know that she was going on a date with a football player. She could do so much better than that, I thought to myself. I should've known better, she wouldn't like me. She probably thinks of me as just her best friend.

I thought about this for awhile longer then came up with this- she will be mine. I'll tell her how much I love her. I was determined.

After roll call and warm ups the activity today was basketball.

I wasn't that great at dribbling and all those things basketball players could do but I did have a decent throw.

On the opposite side of the gym I noticed Claire. She just made a basket and they were all running back to starting positions.

I expected this from her. She was good at every sport. She was perfect.

I heard someone calling my name waking me from my thoughts. "Yo! Jordan!" I shook my head and focused on the game the rest of the period.

When the shower bell rang the guys ran inside and showered and dressed.
