10) The Dating Ritual

(Jordan's P.O.V)

I woke up at 6 in the morning because I couldn't sleep so I decided to go home and start getting ready for school.

I loosened myself from Claire's grip, kissed her cheek and climbed out her window. I walked past two houses before I reached mine.

I walked around my house and through the slide door.

I checked my voice mail while I made some toast.

There was two messages. The first one was my mom checking up on me and letting me know everything was good and they were having a great time. The second one was my older sister in college. She wanted to talk to the family and ask us how we were doing. She explained that college was hard and she also met a cute guy at a football game.

Classic Amy, always working hard but somehow finding time to still hit on guys.

I thought about calling both of them back but I was starving so the toast won.

I styled my hair with gel and a comb. pulled on some jeans and socks before I went back downstairs to watch some TV to help kill some time.

I was watching a re-run of one of the World Cup games last year. Brazil vs. Spain when I heard the slide door open.

I quickly grabbed whatever was next to me. To my luck it was one of my dads baseball bats he got signed by a famous baseball player when he was a kid.

I held the bat behind my head and was about to swing when I saw it was just Claire and I remembered I was supposed to pick her up before school.

"Gosh! Claire you scared me! Don't do that!". Then I let let the bat fall to my side.

She probably thought I was crazy. She smiled, and I smiled back to her then gave her a giant bear hug. Her fingers made circles and shapes on my back and then I remembered I didn't have a shirt on. I didn't care though her hands felt nice on my bare back. I continued to let her rub my back before I released her.

"Hey handsome, you ready for school?" she asked.

Then she rested her hands on my chest. I rested my hands around her hips. "Ya" I said.

She smiled and kissed my cheek before letting go.

"Then let's go, or were going to be late".

I ran upstairs to get a shirt from my closet. I pulled on my shoes after that and she tossed me my keys and I opened the door for her.

We worked so well together, I thought.

By the time we got to school the first bell had already rung. I walked her to her first class before leaving to mine one door down.

Her first period today was science and mine was Wood shop.

After second period I met up with Claire and we walked to history together.

History was mostly just book work and taking notes.

The bell rang for lunch. I grabbed my lunch then met Claire underneath a tree. She was with a couple a friends. They gave me desiring eager looks as I walked over and sat down.

(Claire's P.O.V)

Many of my friends liked Jordan. Who wouldn't?! He's the star of the soccer team. He's every girls dream. It made me kinda upset when my friends drooled over him but that feeling was soon replaced by jealousy.

To once again confirm my friends Kylie and Jade that Jordan was my person I kissed the dimple on his right cheek.

His dimple got wider as he smiled and put his arm around me in return.
