A lone house sat smack dab in the middle of a clearing in the forest on the outskirts of London, the perfect place to get away without any disruptions. A boy sat tied up, quietly waiting for what was next. A man with stunning outer beauty stood watching the boy with curiosity and mischief, excited for what the day would bring. He hoped this one would be as much fun as the last for he had always enjoyed the chase. The boy on the floor whimpered under the intense gaze, setting off the next chain of events. The man stalked over to the boy, gripping him harshly and pulled him up from the floor continuing to drag the boy through the house and out back to the truck that sat waiting for this occasion. The boy was roughly thrown into the back, whimpering on the impact that just caused the man to chuckle. The man made his way to the driver's side and hopped in, revving the engine and speeding off into the thick forest. After they reached a safe distance away he pulled the truck to a halt and hopped out. He made his way around the truck to the back, putting down the tailgate and pulled the boy out by his collar and dropped him to the ground making the boy whimper again. The man rolled his eyes at the pathetic sight, running his hand through his hair in anticipation. He helped the boy to his feet, pulling off the blindfold and tape from his mouth. The boy tried to back out of the man's grip, unsuccessfully, and eventually froze under the deathly gaze. The man cut off the rope restraining his hands and nodded.

"Run." He said to the boy, keeping his gaze leveled and eyes connected with his victim's. The boy's eyes widened at the man's command but didn't question it, turning and running further into the forest while the man just smiled at the action.

Pounding footsteps, twigs breaking and the labored breathing of the lad was all that could be heard in the serene setting. He glanced back to see if his attacker was following only to trip on an exposed root of a large oak tree. The boy fell, tearing his shirt even more and scrapping up the skin on his knees and hands. His heart was beating erratically; breathing coming out in short labored puffs as his eyes frantically searched his surroundings to make sure that he was still hidden from his attacker. A light breeze flitted through the forest causing the leaves to shake and rattle on the branches. The boy jumped, eyes again frantically shooting around at everything that made a sound. Birds chirped lightly in the distance, the songs quietly travelling in the breeze. To anyone else it would have been a calming serene place, but for the boy sitting on the ground it was all but calming.  The boy jumped up, spinning around to figure out which way to run, to escape.

And then there was a hand on his shoulder, pulling him back with such force that he flew backwards colliding with a hard surface. Arms wrapped around his chest, holding him firmly back against his captor's chest a knife held firmly to his neck.

"Found you." He whispered manically, before throwing the boy to the ground and killing him.

I walked around, getting dressed for work as the radio played in the background. I hummed along to the song that was playing as I slipped on a light blue button up shirt. The music finished and the announcer went on, claiming breaking news. I frowned, walking over to the radio and turned it up listening to what he was saying.

"BREAKING NEWS: 'the Hunter' is at it again! Another body was found earlier today, the NCA have released no further information but have warned citizens to stay indoors after sunset and always stay alert. Watch out for any suspicious characters, and if you do come across any call 9-9-9 immediately. Now on a better note, boy band 5 Seconds of Summer will be performing tonight here live and again in a week at the O2! Stay tuned to win tickets-"  I cut off the radio, shaking my head. I slid on some white Supras and walked out of the front door, locking it behind me. I slid my phone out of my front pocket, checking the time as it read 5:30 pm. I cursed, walking quickly and took the lift down the 8 floors to the lobby. I walked quickly out of the lobby, briskly walking down the sidewalk toward the bar I worked at. A summer breeze filtered through the air ruffling through my quiffed up hair. I reached 'the Dove' the bar I worked at, walking inside. I checked the time on my phone and saw it was 5:52 pm, thank god I was on time. I made my way over to the bar, slipping in and wrapping my black apron around my waist. I pinned on my name badge and said my hello's to Carly, the other bartender, before people began to file in and demand my attention.

The clock read 3:00 AM, closing time. I silently cheered, the night bringing on many rowdy drunks that enjoyed hitting each other. I closed the door, turning off the neon light that said open and made my way back over to the bar. I cleared off all the glasses from the bar, then wiped down the table and offered my help to Carly who had moved on to work on the surrounding tables. She kindly declined, so I made my way to the back room to take stock. After that, I went and counted up all the money and safely placed them in the safe behind some tall bottles of flavored Vodka. I glanced at the time, seeing it was already half an hour past closing and I was sure it would be a little chilly outside. Carly had left ten minutes prior, so I was left to lock up. I made my way outside, turning to make sure the bar was safely locked up before shoving my hands in my pockets and walking down the street. I was wrong, the air was warm and comforting with a small breeze that made the sure the heat wasn't overbearingly hot. It would take little over half an hour to get back to my flat if I walked leisurely, which at this point was the pace I would be walking. The night was quite, occasionally I would run into a drunk but other than that the night was serene. Footsteps fell lightly behind me, but when I turned back there was no one. Shaking it off as my paranoid mind making me hear things, I continued my trek with a nervous feeling in my belly. It must've been because of the radio announcement that I was so paranoid and freaked out, not because it was actually happening. My footsteps echoed off the walls, but another soon joined them. I glanced back again, only to see nothing, and no one. I smacked myself, but picked up the pace nonetheless. The sooner I got home, the sooner I would get to sleep. The closer I got to my flat, the more spread out the streetlights became- some broken, no longer allowing even a small beam of florescent lighting to pool on the sidewalk to calm my racing nerves. I could feel eyes on me, but yet again I shook it off blaming my overactive imagination. But I could only blame myself when a hand covered my mouth, a strong muscular arm pulling me backwards into a firm chest. My breathing became erratic, my heart beating out of my chest in panic. I could feel his hot breath on my neck, causing goose bumps to rise to the surface. I wiggled, squirmed trying to get free. I didn't want to die, not yet. Tears jumped to the surface of my eyes but I didn't allow them to fall, instead they clouded my vision. His hand moved from my mouth, but I didn't scream- knowing it would make it worse. We were surrounded my closed shops, not a soul in sight that would hear my cries. It was useless. He seemed satisfied, but quickly covered my mouth with a wet rag of sorts. I could easily figure out what was happening, and what the rag was. I tried not to breathe it in, but figured that either way would render me unconscious. He made soothing sounds into my ear, and I didn't know why but it did relax me slightly. I took a big gulp of air, my lungs burning from holding my breath, and soon I felt very groggy. My eyes began to flutter shut, and soon I was consumed by darkness.
