Your ex Alex and you had not broken up easily, it was full of fighting and screaming. Constant bickering leading to complaints which lead to a terrible breakup. Alex seemed to have forgotten all the things you told him, because he walked calmly up to you and your new boyfriend Barry.
Barry, who luckily was there, saw your discomfort as you watched your ex walk up to you.
Barry stood in front of you getting protective. Barry had always been the jealous type, Barry got in the middle of you and Alex knowing he could take Alex if he tried anything.
"Move. I need to talk to my girlfriend."
Alex said obviously annoyed by Barry. He had heard of your new relationship, but in jealousy decided that it didn't matter.
"Oh really, because last time I checked she was my girlfriend." ~
