I was about to turn the knob to go out when I heard loud, deep sighs at my back. I turned to look at him. It was him, I know so well.
"You're going to Neil again? Aren't you tired coming back to him every night and day?" His eyes narrowed. He do know how to make it sound so bad. "What about me? Aren't you going to ask me if I had eaten yet?" He looked like a boy in a candy store, who just bought a lollipop and had taken it away from him.
Just what the hell. His face is so cute that I actually laughed at him. Yes, these passed 3 days weren't so good for the both of us. I was busy with Neil (Augustus and Marion's bestfriend). He's the most wanted client and a partner everyone wanted to have. He's a successor and we're lucky he chose our business.
I looked at my cute husband with all his pouting. Actually, today's a day off for the both of us but there's really something I would like to finish with Neil. "Don't worry baby, I'll come back immediately. Let's eat after I come home." I smiled at his awaken face.
Still got his late night pajamas, our wedding ring that doesn't left his finger since then, our couple slipper inside the house, his tousled hair, and that pouting yet kissable lips that has drawn in his mad face. I know he's jealous and I love laughing at him in that situation.
"I know you won't come back after an hour so don't even try saying you'll eat with me." He said in a flat tone. He must have been hurt. I was sure I'll be back immediately but I know it won't be just an hour after.
"Marion..." I tried to explain but my hope just broke down the floor when he turned his back at me and went straight to our bed. Here I am, frozen and worried. It's been a month since we had talked about that 'baby issue' and to think, I became worry free, stress free and loved my job more.
But,... did I overdo it?Suddenly, I felt my conscience hit my back telling me to follow him inside. I glanced at my watch. I'm gonna be late. But... I love Marion. When I told him everything, he accepted me. All the things about me, he didn't complained. He still loved me and took me back. And I appreciated everything he did. He's so important to me. He never leaves, he never left.
I love him so much and I won't exchange him to anything in this world. In the end, I went my way to our bedroom. I stared at him leaning at the back of our door as it closes.
It was such a cute view. His back is all I see, his broad shoulders emphasized by the rays of the sun through the glass window. He covered his ear with a pillow, not hearing a thing. Blanket was tangled just on his feet. One thing I liked about him was, he used to cover his feet whenever the temperature is cold. And the air conditioner is on.
I smiled in the thought of surprising him but no. I won't. And I'm sorry.
As I came closer to him, I saw he's scratching his back. Thinking, what should I do to make it up to him? I remembered a few months ago, things had been smooth between us after we had... tsk.
I bit my lower lip as I shook my head secretly. How can I forgot the thing? The needs? His needs, I believe—and we did it—what? 4 months ago?
Fuck!As I came nearer him, which is on the bed, I sat down. I didn't face him. I took off my watch and necklace putting it in the drawer beside the bed. He started to move when he felt my entire body shifted in the bed.
"Why are you still here?" He glared at me—in my lips, I supposed. He sat up and leaned his body in the headboard.
"I am sorry..." I also leaned my back in the headboard. "It's not my intention to make you jealous of Neil. I just want to finish the work, to make it easier for us in ahead of time—"
"Even in day offs? Is he more important than me?" He cuts me off, glancing at my side. "Why are you here anyway? You might want to spend the holiday with him." He paused, glancing at his watch. "It's early. You don't want to miss your flight." Disappointed was heard in his voice.
