"So she's the hated Zara you always said."
I stared at the view for the longest time of my life and it hurts that it breaks my damn heart in pieces it can possibly be.
I wiped my tears. You are stronger Zeanna.
You hate that Zara. You never felt any care from her the way your real mom ever treated you.
I hate her. I hate her to the point that I want to make every way just to separate her away from Dad. Away from us.
And now? They're getting married without my approval?
How can they do this to me?
I closed my eyes shut and straightened my shoulders after I let my eyes open again with no more tears and turned around.
"Zean—"
"Ano pang ginagawa mo rito? I told you to fuck off Marion. Leave." I frigidly said to him and made my way in the road carrying my trolley.
"Ikaw na nga ang hinatid—"
"I DON'T NEED YOU! Leave me alone!" I snapped at him right after tears fell as I sat in the bench across the streets.
I don't want to be weak for him to see. I don't want to be weak just like I used to after Mom died. I just can't.
"You don't understand them, do you?" His voice came near me.
The only sound of cars passing by the road, his own breath fanning with the cold breeze of late afternoon was all I noticed. I don't even remember when did I arrived from Boracay.
I sniffed as I felt he sat beside me. Why he even cared, I don't know.
"I don't need sympathy." My voice broke. "You don't understand me. No one understands me." I looked up the skies, blinking the tears back.
It took minutes to wipe away the silence which added coldness until he spoke up. "You just don't want to understand them. Can't you see the way your Dad smiling at her?"
Should I really focus? I tried to speak those words to him and say that he doesn't know anything but I stayed calm. I stayed silent, listening to him speak at my back.
"He truly loves her. He's happy when she's happy. He's happy when you're happy. Maybe there's a part that makes him loves you the way she loves him. Why don't you try knowing their story first?"
I turned around to face him only to say, "It's not like you know their story." I started to turn away again but his large hands stopped me and steadied me straight in front of him.
"Hindi ko kinakampihan si Hated-Z mo. I'm just trying to conclude." His breath ragged, "So stop being a crybaby there and talk to her. Ganyan ba ang ZEANNA GUEVARRA na nakilala ko kagabi?" He looked at me that I can't look away even if a shooting star crashes right in front of me. A challenge of some pair of eyes I saw and the same face I rejected last night.

We formed a circle with a campfire in the center.
"Truth or dare?" Napatingin ako kay Marion na kasalukuyang tinatanong ni Neil. Iilan lang kami dito. Napilitan lang naman akong sumali kasi may sasabihin ako kay bes. Ewan ko ba.
"I'm too tired to be dared. So, truth." Bored tone nya. Neil laughed and I was surprised when Jack nudged me. He's one of his BFFs. Bale me, Jack, Marion, Neil, Bes, Augustus, and Fitch lang andito. Fitch is Jack's girlfriend and Augustus' crush. Swerte nya ano?
"Let's not make jokes here. Kyle Marion Montes, what do you feel when you did the CPR in Zeanna?" Neil looked at me after he asked that damn question.
Heat crept up my face. Now I get it why Jack nudged me by the elbow. Ugh! So ang kiss na ngayon ang topic?!
"I don't feel anything." He said coolly and seriously that I simply rolled my eyes.
"Who's your first kiss?" Si Bes naman nagtanong.
"Gretel. Same thing, CPR. But it doesn't count." All breaths hitched at the same line he mentioned. "No one, if that'll make you all sleep at night."
"Then why did you embarrass her in front of everybody after you made her feel dumb enough to be rejected? What the hell's wrong with you Marion?" Can't help it. I snapped at him.
That actually shut everyone up. Augustus knew about this but he was saving Marion from Hansel. Oh no, this has to stop.
Marion gave me his smirk after his sharp glance telling me I've gone too far. But before everyone could even react, I pulled Hansel out of there.
"Hans, there's something you should really know. Mahal ni Gretel si Marion and THAT idiot hurt your sister—"
I didn't get to finish my sentence cos something strong grip my wrist out of nowhere.
"Ano ba?!" The moment he releases me, he smirked and leaned close that my back touched the tree.
"You don't know what you've been saying." A growl escaped in his words and fire started to burn in his eyes. "Ni 'di mo alam anong nangyari. And if you were Gretel, I would do the same—"
"Kahit 'di ako si Gretel, I would also do the same to you. Who would ever love a guy like you Marion? You're nothing but a lame, shame, coward kind of guy." I smirked to see his eyes full of surprise. "I didn't drown back there to prove I'm weak. I'm actually surprised to see you save me. Like hell, I almost believe you're that kind of guy."
I chuckled a bit. "Of course you're not that guy Marion. You're not even worth it. Kahit ikaw nalang ang natitirang lalaki dito sa mundo, I would never love a guy like you. NOT YOU."
I felt his whole body stiffened after I walked out on him.
