I haven't begged my parents to ride since the accident since they have pretty much beat it into my head enough times to know.

I ran downstairs and jumped on the couch beside my dad.

"What's up baby girl?" Dad asked

"So, I took those cupcakes to Travis the other day." I said proudly.

"Anddddd did he like your cupcakes Harley?" Dad asked being a pervert.

"DAD!!" I said slapping his arm.

"I'm kidding Harley I'm kidding!" He said laughing.

"But yes, he did. At least I think he did! He told me I could go ride with him whenever I want." I said making sure to look at his expressions carefully.

"Harley." He sighed at me.

"Dad, it's been seven years! I'm gonna get back on sometime!" I argued .

"Elizabeth don't argue with me you know the answer and that's how it stays. Conversation over!" He said annoyed.

"Fine!" I said as I threw on my old cowboy boots and stomped toward the door.

"Where are you going Harley?!" He called.

"OUT!!" I hollered and slammed the door with tears in my eyes. I ran to our barn where my horse, Yankee stayed. I pushed the heavy doors open and ran to his stall where my 17 hand chestnut colored horse stood waiting for me. I flung open the stall door and hopped on bareback, running out of the barn as my dad stood on the doorstep watching me. We ran down the trails and deep into the woods until I didn't know where I was anymore. I looked around and began to let quiet sobs overtake my breathing as I held the reins while Yankee munched some grass. I found the nearest tree and tied a slipknot with the reins and hopped off to sit on a log. And weep some more. This was so unfair!! I thought to myself as I heard the sound of a motorcycle. Great! Now I'm hearing things! The sound got closer and closer until the engine killed and my horse spooked. He started rearing and trying to run.

"Sh shh!! it's okay Yankee it's okay!" I calmed him and brought him back down to face me.

"Are you crazy?!? What are you doing here Pastrana!?" I snapped at him, accidentally of course.

He ran up to me worriedly,

"Hey are you okay Harley are you hurt???" He asked with a hand on my shoulder.

"Yeah, yeah I'm fine." I said noticing that I was being really mean.

"Are you sure? Why are you crying is something wrong?" He asked.

Shit. He just saw me crying. I quickly wiped the tears off my face and straightened myself up.

"Oh nothing. Just. My dad. The whole bike thing and riding. He just doesn't understand still." I said nasaly from crying.

Travis nodded his head and looked down, he sighed and took of his helmet. His curls were sticking to his forehead and he had a goofy smile plastered on his face. He scooted up on his bike and patted the spot behind him.

"Oh Travis, I really shouldn't, I can't." I said smiling.

"Tell me Harley, have you ever just taken one chance? Ever?" He asked me now with his helmet in his lap and his hands placed on his helmet.

"No really, it's just. My dad." I explained.

"Dad? Harley's dad?!" He called and looked around, then back to me.

"I don't see him anywhere around Harley. Come on. Just take a chance, get your ass on the bike and let's go!" He said chuckling.

I rolled my eyes and walked to the bike.
