It was four days since I'd heard from Travis, granted we never exchanged numbers. I was at my window bench playing my guitar and writing music. I'd felt like recording but didn't have a good vibe or song for it, so I stuck with the one I was singing now. My phone was buzzing and bleeping beside me, it was Uncle Ken! I answered it as I ran and belly flopped on my bed,

"UNCLE KENNETH!!! Why haven't you called me?!?" I scolded with a smile.

"Hey sweetie! It's been a little busy around here! Rally race is coming up you know. How are you? How you likin no school?" He asked

"I'm great and I love it! Oh I have so much to tell you uncle Ken! Remember Travis from my party that we met?!"

"Yeah.... pastrana, he's a good buddy of mine we've done gymkhana... Whaaaat about him Harleyyyy?" He asked.

"He's my fricken neighbor and I didn't know! So I baked him cupcakes and we hung out and I saw all his motorcycles it was so fun!" I rambled on,

"Wait, you baked TP cupcakes?!" He asked.

"Yeah he loved em too!!" I said excitedly.

Uncle Ken burst into laughter,

"Harley you have NO GAME oh my god this is hilarious! You bake a supercross rockstar CUPCAKES!" He said between laughs.

"Oh my god really? They don't like cupcakes?! What do I make him then?! Steak?!" I asked panicked.

"No no Harley, although no man would never turn down a steak! It's funny because it's just a Harley thing to do.!" He said giggling again.

"Oh uncle Ken! Wanna see the new song I learned?!" I asked him ignoring his stupid laugh over me being wierd.

"Sure I'll FaceTime you now!" He said happily.

In no time my phone was ringing again, this time my video opened up,

"Hi! Okay I'm gonna put you down for a sec so I can get my guitar!" I said

"Okay Harley." Ken said.

I got my guitar and sat back down on the window seat.

"Okay so what's the story behind it?" He asked me.

"The song?" I asked and he nodded,

"Yeah what's the story? Normally it's a dedication or a song that reminds you of someone." He stated,

"Oh! Well, this one I just literally fell in love with this song I can't stop singing it. I go around the house and sing it, I sing without my guitar I sing it in the shower I sing it when I'm on the computer. Everywhere this song is everywhere uncle Ken, I love it this guy is amazing and his voice is beastly!" I explained with my arm draped over my guitar.

"Okay, now I can appreciate it more," he said,

"Go."

I smiled, then began strumming and singing the lyrics,

A drop in the ocean

A change in the weather I was praying that you and me might end up together,

It's like wishing for rain as I stand in the desert and I'm holding you closer than most, cause you are my, heaven.

I continued the song until the end and uncle Ken kept a very close listen and watch. When the song was over he had a huge smile,

"What'd ya think?!" I asked happily.

"Harley you have such a pretty voice. I mean, what am I gonna do with you the boys are gonna be all over you if you sing at your birthday!" Ken said and gave me a virtual high five.

" I know but everyone wants me to sing! And I have all of my stuff ready to go for this weekend!" I said,

"Just,"

"Nothing to wear!" We said in unison.

"I need to go shopping! Come with me tomorrow!!" I begged him.

"Ahh okay it's a date! Be here at 11?" He said.

"Hell yeahhhh uncle niece day tomorrow!!" I said excited.

"Alright alright, get to bed kiddo it's late!" He said laughing.

"I'm not a kid anymore uncle Ken.." I said looking down.

"You'll always be my kiddo harls no matter how old you are!" He protested

"Whaaaaaaaaatever.. Love you uncle Ken see you tomorrow! Muahh!" I said as I kissed the phone.

"Gross Harley love you more! Bye!" He waved and hung up the phone.

I jumped up from the seat and lay flat on my back on the bed, thinking about Travis. His eyes are really really pretty. And that hair, those curls, and the way he talks. I thought as I dozed off to sleep.
