This be a true story!

It seemed to be a normal morning. That is, until I looked out the window.
Everything was white. Snow. And it was a school day… which meant…
                              SNOW DAY!!!
Yesssss! I thought, hardly able to contain my excitement. I ran out to the living room. “Look outside!” I said to my parents, “It’s snowing!”
We turned on the TV. I better be right, I thought, this better be a day off for me.
I stared at the TV. I watched the names of schools at the bottom of the screen go by. I was waiting for it to say the name of my school, or to say all public schools in the area were closed. But it never did.
Instead, I found out that the public schools were open. I had to go to school.

But, it turns out, things don’t always go as expected. Here are some of the things that happened that day:
                              1. Half of the students in my class didn’t even show up.
                              2. In most of my classes, we just played games
                              3. I wrote a story about “The Death of Homework” which was pretty fitting because
                              4. We didn’t have much homework that day.

Now, I like school. I probably wouldn’t have wanted a snow day. But at that time, I didn’t like it so much. Except on that one snow day, that wasn’t a snow day, because not enough snow showed up.
