I stood in front of the table with Luke, still in shock that Calum could see him, luckily none of the other guys seemed to notice anyone else standing with me and were too lost in their own conversations "Well are you?" Calum pleaded looking back between me and Luke. Sighing I grabbed Calum's hand and pulled him out in to the empty hallway with me "Ashton what are you doing and why won't you tell me who your friend is?" He pulled his arm out of my grip giving me another one of his confused looks. "Tell him Ash" Luke said looking down, he was obviously uncomfortable with this whole situation. But the thing is I didn't want to tell Calum the truth yet, I still didn't know him that well and what if he would blab this to the whole school? Even though I doubt they'd believe it I didn't want things to go around especially for Luke's sake. So I decided I would do what's best and bullshit a story "Well um you see Calum" I started out awkwardly making things up in my head "Luke here is a friend of mine from uh my old school and he decided to visit me as a suprise but he's very shy and usually only talks to me unless he's really comfortable with you" I blurted out looking at Calum hoping he would believe me. "Oh okay, nice to meet you then Luke" Calum nodded shooting Luke a small smile. Luke looked up still giving Calum a blank look. "Oh and Calum" I added "please PLEASE don't tell anyone about Luke he doesn't like to fuss around with people" "Alright fine" Calum replied and I let out a sigh of relief looking at Luke and giving him a smile "on one condition" Calum said snapping me out of my thoughts, of course he had a condition, he's one of those people and couldn't simply be nice with out there being a price to pay "what?" I raised my eyebrows at the boy. "You let Michael and I come over to your house tonight to go ghost hunting" Calum said smirking at me and crossing his arms. Shit. I started at him blankly before finally replying "Whatever but I can guarantee you won't find anything" I said looking at him annoyed. I then heard Luke let out a small chuckle. "What is this funny?" Calum asked "do you believe the rumours that there's a ghost in his house?" Luke stopped giggling when he heard Calum speak to him and moved himself closer to me looking at Calum awkwardly. "Alright whatever then, I'm going back to the guys, Mikey and I will see you at your house tonight Ashton" He said giving me a wink "and nice to meet you Luke" Calum turned and headed back to the cafeteria.

"I don't think this is a good idea Ashton" Luke finally spoke "why not?" I replied glancing at him "because Calum can see me, that means there's someone else out there who will be able to see me too, I just thought it would be you Ash, just you and me forever but now we have Calum to deal with" I blushed at his statement you and me forever I interally giggled. "Well why not make this a little game" I suggested. "what do you mean?" Luke asked giving me a confused look. "Let's scare the shit out of Calum and Michael."

I decided to skip the rest of the day with Luke, I know it wasn't a good idea since it was my first day and all but I could really care less right now. Luke and I ended up going to the small lake a few blocks away from the school, there was no one around, this way we could talk and people wouldn't think I was some psycho talking to air. For the past hour we had been thinking of ideas how to scare the shit out of Calum and Michael. "I don't think I'm scary and Calum can see me so how is that going to work" Luke said looking at me and then glancing at the lake, his eyes looked so blue, he was so beautiful, wait what? dammit Ashton stop thinking like this, he's DEAD. "Um well honestly you scared me shitless when I first saw you" I laughed. "What really?" Luke said sounding suprised "Yeah when I first saw you in the hallway I didn't know what to suspect and seeing an actual ghost was quite terrifying" I looked at the ground feeling embarrased. "Aw Ashy's a little scaredy cat" Luke nudged me playfully. "Oh shut up" I said playfully hitting his shoulder and laughing, I decided to lay on the grass because it's soft and I fucking love grass okay don't judge me. "So what are we going to do about Calum being able to see me?" Luke questioned looking down at me he was still sitting up straight with his legs crossed. "I'm not too sure, I mean we'll have to tell him what's really going on eventually, but we don't need to do it now, and when we try to scare him just like lurk in the shadows and be like a ninja so he doesn't see you alright?" Luke chuckled "sounds good" "But Mikey will have no idea what's coming" I smirked.

Luke and I continued talking for a bit before we decided to walk back to the house. When there was no one around I decided I would ask him a question that has been on my mind alot today "Hey Luke?" I said to him "Yeah Ash?" "What's it like being dead?" I looked around awkwardly after asking him the question, I knew he didn't like these types of questions but I couldn't help but ask. He didn't respond right away but when he did he only had one word to say "lonely" I stopped walking and grabbed his arm "well you have me now so you'll never be lonely again alright?" I reasurred him. He nodded and gave me one of his adorable dimpled smiles. "Are you ever going to tell me what happened to you though?" I asked realizing I was still holding onto his arm, but it felt right at this moment so I kept my hand there knowing Luke didn't mind it either. "I will Ash, I promise, but just, not right now, I'm not ready" I looked at him and nodded noticing his eyes were becoming glassy. "Okay well let's stop this depressing talk and go back to the house Michael and Calum should be there soon."

"I'll meet you upstairs" Luke said before disappearing as I entered my house. "Ashton" Harry said running and giving me a hug, I laughed and ruffled his hair before he ran back to do whatever he was doing. "Hi Ash!" Lauren said sitting on the couch and watching some cartoon. Mom was at work so I sent her a text saying I had friends coming over and she was fine with it. I quickly grabbed a few snacks and drinks from the kitchen and carried them up to my room expecting Calum and Michael to be here any minute. I dropped the snacks on my desk and looked over at Luke who was tossing my baseball up and down while laying on my bed "You ready?" I asked "Oh definately he replied sitting up smirking and walking towards me, this felt strangely sexual and was turning me on for some reason. The fuck. Snapped out of my thoughts by the door bell I turned to Luke "Alright so we won't start scaring them until it's darker so you can try to chill out here but just keep out of Calum's sight okay? " Sounds good" Luke said walking towards my closest, I laughed at his choice of hiding place. I quickly ran downstairs and opened to the door to the see Michael and Calum holding bags and a bunch of food "Told you we would come" Calum said stepping inside with Michael following, he was holding a pizza box. "Well um yeah let's go up to my room alright?" The two boys nodded and we walked up the stairs towards my room. "Nice place" Michael said looking around, I didn't have much yet but my room was still pretty epic. "Thanks" I replied. Michael wanted to play Fifa for a bit so as Calum and him were doing that I sat on my bed and watched, I wasn't a Fifa fan at all and Michael refused to talk to me for the next hour because of it. As I was zoning up watching the guys play their game I couldn't help but sneak glances at Luke every few minutes. He would look at me from the corner of the closet and smile or pull a funny face "What are you laughing at Ashton?" Calum questioned me, pausing the game, I didn't even realize I was laughing out loud. "Someone in the closet??" Michael said laughing at himself. I rolled my eyes. "It's nothing I was just thinking of something funny that happened today. "Oh was it with that Lu-" Calum stopped himself remembering I told him not to talk about Luke. I let out a sigh, grateful Calum would actually keep his promise. "I'm getting bored" Michael said "when are we going to do this whole ghost hunting thing?" He dropped the controller and stood up stretching. I looked out the window noticing it was probably dark enough and glanced back at Luke who gave me a thumbs up.

"Well how about now?"I suggested. The 2 boys nodded their heads looking like excited puppies.

THIS CHAPTER IS REALLY BAD IM SORRY. I was in a rush to get it posted because I'm going away for a few days and I've just been really lazy and stressed and ughh but finally it's done :D but i'm sorry it's bad and short, the next one will be longer I promise because that's when Ashton and Luke are scaring Michael and Calum ;) Any ways, please keep commmenting/voting/adding this story to your library because it means so much and I'm actually suprised how many people like this :-) But thank you all! ily! xxxx
