-Chapter 6-
Jungkook feels warm.
Accompanied are a faint smell of strawberries and the refreshing smell of the ocean.
It's lovely.
It reminds him of the strawberry shampoo his mother always uses to shower him after his little adventures out to the sea with his father, the exact mix of both smells.
He leans closer, taking a deep breath in. All he can feel is silky strands of hair tickling his nose, he chuckles and scrunches his nose.
And realization dawns on him. Wait, Hair? Who's hair?
Jungkook jolts awake, opening his eyes. He immediately regrets it.
He regrets not preparing his heart for the scene before his eyes.
Taehyung is lying close beside Jungkook, cuddling him, clinging on to him like a baby koala.
His cheeks are dusted with a shade of baby pink, lips pulled into a cute pout. Taehyung starts to hold Jungkook even closer as he moves.
TOO CLOSE, TOO CLOSE. Jungkook screams internally.
At this distance, Jungkook could easily count the number of eyelashes Taehyung has if he isn't so distracted by his lips.
Coloured the perfect shade of pink, Taehyung's lips are the shape of a heart. It looks so soft and kissable.
If he leans closer, he could touch those lips. If he leans now.
Jungkook leans in slowly, he doesn't know what he's doing. He's not even thinking anymore. He just wants to get a closer look at Taehyung. Just a closer look.
Right on cue, Taehyung's eyes flutter open.
Jungkook stops in his tracks, mind blank. (Totally caught red-handed, tsk tsk.)
Taehyung looks up directly at Jungkook, eyes curious. "Goo?"
"O-oh, you're awake. I-I'll go make breakfast." Flustered, Jungkook sits up immediately. His ears flushing to a bright red.
Taehyung looks at him and smiles. He's happy to see Jungkook here. Happy to wake up in someone's arms.
Jungkook's in particular.
Jungkook races to the kitchen, trying to calm his heart down. What if Taehyung didn't wake up?
Will he get closer? Will he kiss him?
