Chapter Five: The Reunion
I heard my Fathers voice, and shivered. I turned around, not sure if I could handle the sight laid out in front of me. His evil, smirk plastered across his scarred face; Luna's pale, trembling hands tied together above her angelic hair. Her legs and arms cuffed to a wall.
"Demi, I...coul...couldn't"
"Shut the fuck up, bitch!"
I ran to her, but only my fingers brushed against her ice cold skin, before I fell, a sharp pain colliding into my stomach.
"Now, stand up, my prized possession." he taunted.
I scowled at him from the floor, holding what self-respect I had left highly. "What the hell do you want from me?"
"I said stand up. Have you forgotten how to follow directions since I left?" He smiled a creepy grin, overwhelming me with the urge to flee, wishing I was once again safe in Luna's arms.
"No, I've just learned who's directions are worth following."
He bent down, his face inches from mine. I could smell his liquor scented, hot breath. "Follow my directions, or the filthy slut gets it." He gestured to Luna. I stood up.
He circled around me, and I kept my stare on the beautiful face just out of grasp. She looked so frightened. I saw a single tear roll down her cheek. Why hadn't the others found us? He grabbed the back of my skull and pulled my backwards, by my hair. He then whispered into my ear from behind, his terrible breath on my neck, sending chills down my spine. "If you're not careful, I'll enter your friend into our little game."
I shivered, and automatically uttered something I thought I'd only hear in my nightmares. "Daddy, please..." That was it. I had given in. I just didn't want the love of my life to get hurt. I couldn't stand the thought, so I entirely gave up. Years of convincing myself I wouldn't be that weak again flashed before my eyes. As soon as a single tear trailed it's way down my left cheek, I heard the door screech open to a halt. The image of Harry with his wand directed towards us was portrayed and I couldn't believe my eyes.
"Secatus!" Harry's scream filled the hollow room and rang off the stone walls. I looked at where my Father laid on the ground. Then ran to Luna, hugging her as best as I could with her tied up. Harry, Mom, and Xeno ran to us as well.
"Alohomora" The locks were broken, and her wrist untied, leaving deep red indentions.
She fell on the floor, and Xeno swept her up in a hug, relieved his daughter was back safe in his arms.
I was still confused at to what actually happened to my father. "Harry, is my father..."
"No, he's just passed out. We need to hurry and get him to a police station. He'll be awake in a couple hours."
As soon as Xeno put Luna down, I ran into her arms. I couldn't help myself. She was safe. The love of my life was still here for me. She saw me at my weakest, and hopefully she still loved me. She didn't run away. I whispered in her ear. "I love you."
Her voice left a perm-ant memory of serenity as her heavenly melody sang in my ear.
"I love you, too. I always will."
I leaned up, and ever so softly pressed my lips against hers. I then realized my actions, and before I could pull back, she lengthened the kiss. I swear literal fireworks went off, as pulled myself in closer to her, and we became one. It was soft, but quickly became rough. She ran her tongue along my lip, as I bit hers. We were the perfect combination...I felt as we could stay the same as long as we both li-
"Ahem, excuse me lovebirds, but as I said, we have to get him to a police station."
I pulled away blushing, and glanced at Luna. She looked perfectly normal, as if nothing had happened. How the hell does she do that?
-------------Four Hours Later-------------
Luna and I were back in the star room cuddled up on the couch. We were together and safe, and I could wish for nothing more. Well....maybe for our relationship to get a little farther than PG-13, but I wasn't about to mention that.
"Demi, when do you have to leave for your concert?"
Shit...I forgot. "Three days, why?" I began stroking her hair, worried about the words that would be spoken shortly.
"I don't want to say goodbye. I'm used to saying it to everyone else, but your different." She blushed, something I wasn't used to. "I want to marry you some day, grow old with you, adopt kids....I don't think I could do that with anyone else. I love you and only you. I don't want to risk losing you."
I turned her face, so she was under me, and I whispered softly. "You'll never lose me. I'll find a way we can stay together." I gave her a quick kiss on the cheek.
"Can I ask you something, Demi?
"Of course. Anything."
"Are you willing to enter the world of magic, completely unarmed. We'll be judged, unarmed, and put down constantly. But if you're ready for it, then we can stay together. forever."
I giggled, and looked her in the eyes.
"That would make me the happiest girl alive."
We stayed like that for a while, locked in each others arms, guarded from the cruel world, if only for an hour or so. Eventually my Mother came in the room, and said dinner was ready. We (unwillingly) got up and ate, only to return to our solace.
