Ruby's POV

I slowly sighed in defeat, Y/N's won again. What am I thinking... He's known us since Beacon, observed us for a long time. He knows what we like, our personalities... Hell even our fighting styles, we have no choice then but to let him go.

My team kept debating amongst themselves on what to do, arguing even. While Y/N and his underling just standing there, he probably even has some around us in the crowds.

Me: Guys! Stop!

All three of my team members turned their heads towards me. Yang kept a bead on Y/N though in case he tried to slip away.

Blake: Ruby, what is it?

Me: We have to be the better people...

Y/N: Ah, the little Rose about to make a BIG speech on humanity and the moralities of beings. I'm intrigued.

He said snarlingly, Yang growled at him, raising her mechanical arm, slicing her pointed finger across her neck while pointing at Y/N and Lilith.

Me: Sacrificing the lives of these many people only to capture Y/N is selfish...

Y/N: Do continue, I'm interested in hearing your little theory.

Lilith: I second that.

I ignored them both the best I could, even then they were getting on my nerves.

Me: We're letting him go... the lives of many are more important than his.

Weiss: What about the poison? If we let Y/N go? he won't give us the antidote!

Ruby: Which is why... I'm willing to bargain with him.

Y/N's POV

Hm?! Ruby's stepping out of her comfort zone? I had hoped they would argue until the Atlesians come so I could leave in the chaos, but this places a wedge in the system... Nevertheless this opens up a window of opportunity for me, should I agree with Ruby's bargain there's no guarantee but I could probably try and barter for Weiss' death. You see, the 'antidote' I have with me is the actual poison I used to kill Jacques Schnee. If I'm able to give them the 'antidote' they'll give it to everyone in the party who's even drunken a gulp of the 'contaminated' whiskey. I'll still get all the richies of Atlas, the money will be fought for and the Schnee Dust Company will be left in chaos.

Me: Alright Ruby, what is it you want to say?

I asked, Ruby stepped towards me, folding up her scythe and placing it where she stored it.

Ruby: If we agree to let you go, will you give us the antidote and truly leave?

Ruby asked, handing out her arm. Hmm, this makes things even easier! I don't even have to try and manipulate them into accepting the 'antidote' all too easy...

Me: Agreed, but one more thing RWBY... Do not follow me.

I tossed the large vial over to Ruby, who caught it rather unprofessionally. Almost dropping it in the process, I swear if she did she would've regretted the day she even spoke to me for the first time in the halls of Beacon Academy.

Me: Au revoir RWBY. Until next time!

I grabbed Lilith by the hand as I motioned for her to follow me. We bolted out the ballroom as we began to try and quickly find a way out of the complex.

Lilith; Y/N, can't we just blow a hole through the walls, I mean this mansion has probably seen better days but...

Me: That was my plan, Lilith. It was all along, and... I'm still sorry about what happened back there.
