Buying Presents

Deidara

"I don't know why I let him talk me into this nonsense." Deidara grumbles irritably as he stalks the market at an idle pace. "I could just make her an ornament with my clay... an explosive one!" He cries out with excitement present in his voice. His smile is quickly replaced with a pout when he remembers Itachi's words. 'It might be a nice gesture to get her something that she can actually keep. Something that doesn't explode in her face... tsk.. ridiculous...'
Despite his reluctance he does see the point the Uchiha was trying to make and figures he can swallow his pride for a moment if it means making Y/N happy. As he's mentally arguing with himself, he stops near a stall selling hand crafted wooden figurines and is quickly drawn back to reality when one of them really sticks out.
"That is actually a nice looking bird." Deidara picks up the ornament, inspecting it closely. "Not as good as mine of course, but I'm certain she will love it either way... I guess..." just as he reaches into his pockets to take some money out, he remembers an important detail about his girlfriend - she doesn't like birds.

Hashirama

"You know I'm awful at buying presents." The hokage pouts. "Can't you just please pick something you like and let me pay for it? It would make everything a lot easier for both of us."
Y/N stares at him, trying to hide a smile. "No... I know you're bad at this, but if I just pick something it's not as personal... please, Hashirama, just try it? I'm sure whatever you'll pick will be just fine. I'm not that hard to shop for."
"Fine..." he sighs in defeat. "...and you're absolutely sure you don't want to pick your own present? I mean... I might come back with a pair of socks."
"Yes, I'm sure." The young woman giggles out of the side of her mouth, trying to contain her laugh to keep this discussion somewhat serious. "And even if you did, I would love it because it came from you."
"Oh, alright... I'll see what I can find."
He gives her a quick kiss and walks into the shop with her waiting patiently outside, feeling rather anxious about the surprise he's going to buy for her. The Hokage runs a hand through his long, black hair, his eyes scanning the shelves filled with random, discounted books, toys and sweets. He stares at the sugary goods for a while, wondering if he can take the easy way out and just get her some chocolate, but scolds himself for trying to get out of this too quickly.
'No. I will find the perfect thing for her! No cheating, Hashirama... just... relax and find something good... how hard can it really be?'
Three stores and five hours later, it turns out it is extremely difficult to find something that meets his standards of 'the perfect present'.

Hidan

Hidan pushes the door open forcefully with his foot, tossing a bag onto the bed next to his girlfriend who jumps up, startled.
"Hidan! What the hell?! I know we're dating but can you knock next time?"
"Not really. There's something in there for you."
"Huh? For me?" With a wide smile the young woman shuffles through the bag, pulling out a small box. Excitedly she lifts the lid to find that half of the chocolates inside have already been eaten. "...a... half empty box of chocolates... you shouldn't have." Y/N rolls her eyes, running her tongue along her front teeth.
"You're right I shouldn't have, but I was full after eating half, so figured I'd share the rest with you."
His girlfriend sighs in annoyance, setting the box aside with a mumbled, sarcastic 'thank you' and turns back to the scroll on the bed. Slightly annoyed by Y/N's behavior, he crosses his arms with a faint glare.
"There's no need to be rude, at least I did actually think of you."
She looks at him blankly. "Yes, but you clearly put no thought into this 'gift'... it would have been better if you just ate the whole box and left it at that."
"Fine." The Akatsuki member walks over to her, grabbing the chocolates and leaves the room while already starting to eat the second half.

Itachi

"Well, this looks nice." The tall Uchiha leans closer to a perfume bottle, squinting his eyes to take in more of the details.
It's a slick glass bottle, tainted in a very dark blue with the words 'Witch's Brew' engraved into the front. He looks at another set next to it; a similar design but with a reddish hue, labeled 'Werewolf's Blood' and there is a set of scratch marks etched into the sides of the bottle. The third set of perfume is a bit thicker, but shorter with emerald colored glass and a sticker on the front claiming it to be 'Ectoplasm'.
"Mhmm... they all look like a nice birthday present... even if Y/N doesn't use perfume, the bottles would look great in her collection of random stuff." He mutters to himself, mentally going through the 'eenie meenie miney mo' rhyme to help him decide on which one to buy for his girlfriend.
Landing on the Witch's Brew he grabs one of the containers and heads to the check-out. Itachi's dark eyes wander back down to the gift in his hands and before he knows it he goes back and gets one of each design, carrying a large smile on his way back to the hideout, clearly pleased with himself.
