"Now I know what you're thinking. Oh no! Thor's in a cage. How did this happen? Well, sometimes you have to get captured just to get a straight answer out of somebody. It's a long story but basically I'm a bit of a hero. See, I spent some time on earth, fought some robots, saved the planet a couple of times. Then I went searching through the cosmos for some magic, colorful Infinity Stone things... didn't find any. That's when I came across a path of death and destruction which led me all the way here into this cage... where I met you. " Thor lifted his head and stares at a skeleton, its jaw falls as soft grumbling is heard.

"How much longer do you think we'll be here?" Thor asked the skeleton before he was thrown downwards, hanging in front of Surtur.

"Thor, son of Odin." Surtur's low voice echoed through the hell-like cave."Surtur, son of...a bitch. You're still alive! I thought my father killed you a half a million years ago." Thor responded, his lips curving upwards.

"I cannot die, not until I fulfill my destiny and lay waste to your home." Surtur said as he sat on his throne. "You know it's funny you should mention that because I've been having these terrible dreams of late, Asgard up in flames, falling to ruins and you, Surtur are at the center of all of them."

"Then you have seen Ragnarok, the fall of Asgard, the Great Prophecy-!" Thor's back slowly faced Surtur as he hung on the chains, "Hang on, I'll be back around shortly. I really feel like we were connecting there."

Thor faced Surtur as he struggled within the chains. "Okay so, Ragnarok. Tell me about that. Walk me through it."

"My time has come. When my crown is reunited with the Eternal Flame, I shall be restored to my full might, even Life herself won't be able to restore Asgard. I will tower over the mountains and bury my sword deep in Asgard's-" Thor's head perked up at the mention of life but got distracted by the chains slowly turning him around again.

"Hang on, give it a second. I swear, I'm not even moving. It's just doing this on its own. I'm really sorry." Surtur sighed in annoyance. "Okay, so let me get this straight. You're going to put your crown into the Eternal Flame and then you'll suddenly grow as big as a house? And who even is life?"

"A mountain!" Surtur exclaimed but chuckles afterwards at Thor's knowledge of his own heritage. "The Eternal Flame that Odin keeps locked away in Asgard?"

"Odin is not on Asgard and your absence left the throne defenseless." Thor's face wrinkled in confusion as he processed Surtur's words. "Okay, so where is it? This crown?"

Surtur pointed to his crown, "This is my crown, the source of my power!"

"Oh, that's a crown. I thought it was a big eyebrow." Surtur clenched his fists, "It's a crown."

"Anyway, it sounds like all I have to do to stop Ragnarok is rip that thing off your head." Τhor smiled and Surtur laughed at his bravery. "But Ragnarok has already began. You cannot stop it, Life cannot stop it, it is my destiny!"

Surtur stood up, his sword grinding the stone below him as he walked towards Thor. He took hold of the chain and lifted Thor up. "I am Asgard's doom, and so are you. All will suffer, all will burn!" Thor nodded, "Oh, that's intense. To be honest, seeing you grow really big and set fire to a planet would be quite the spectacle. But it looks I'm gonna have to choose option B, where I bust out of these chains, knock that tiara of you head and stash it away in Asgard's vault."

"You cannot stop Ragnarok, why fight it?"

"Because that's what heroes do." Thor opened up his palms as he reached for his hammer. After nothing came to him, Surtur simply stared at him waiting for something. "Wait, I'm sorry. I didn't time that right."

"And, now!" Thor used his strength to get out of the chains and caught Mjolnir just as it arrived.

"You have made a grave mistake, Odinson." Thor stood confidently in front of Surtur, Mjolnir in hand. "I make grave mistakes all the time. Everything seems to work out." Thor glanced to the side, his eyes catching a dragon growling at him. Surtur's demons quickly charged toward him surrounding him in all direction.

As one approached, Thor lifted his hammer and hit a demon, destroying it to pieces. He punched one after another, destroying them to dust. He leaped high and brought his hammer down, releasing a wave of energy, killing off multiple demons.

Surtur raised his sword and pointed it at Thor, bursting him with fire. Thor immediately reacted and spun Mjolnir fast enough to prevent the fire from touching him. He struggled with the situation but recovered from it as he neared Surtur and hit him with the hammer. Surtur's laughed are ceased once Thor hit him with Mjolnir. Hit after hit, Thor managed to stop Surtur. Surtur's crown fell to the burning stone and Thor quickly picked it up, putting it on his back using the chains.

Thor looked around and noticed the fire demons are still surrounding him. He gazed up, "Heimdall, I know it's been a while but I could really use a fast exit." Thor raised his hammer, expecting the Bifrost to open and return him to Asgard.

Thor looked up with a troubled face, "Heimdall?" He continued to fight off the demons and suddenly heard chains snap. The dragon had already freed itself and Thor wasn't up to fight it now but it looked like he had no choice. Deciding the second option, Thor spun his hammer and flew upwards. He landed above with a thud and after he regained himself, he raised his hammer and tried to call for Heimdall again.

"Heimdall, come on!" Grumbling disrupted his gaze and the fire dragon emerged from the ground. Before it could devour Thor whole, he placed Mjolnir in its mouth. "Stay." The dragon screeched at him. "Heimdall! I'm running short on options! Heimdall!"

Thor turned, his hand held out for Mjolnir, and he started to run, eventually lifting himself off the ground with the fire dragon after him. Before the dragon could eat him, bright light consumed his body and he felt himself getting warped back to Asgard.
