Three days had passed since Daniel had arrived at the hospital in Moscow. His leg was healing. Ironically Daniel is now being looked after by the people who many years ago were trying to kill him and his wife.
Daniel slowly opened his eyes. He was hungry, thirsty and needed to go to the toilet. A nurse noticed when he sat up. The nurse called for a doctor and helped daniel into the toilet. Once daniel was back in bed, the doctor spoke about some medications he was on, and told him he would be able to leave in another four days, if he started rehab today. He started as soon as he could.

"So your having bad dreams which is the reason you don't want to sleep?" Tanya says to Amelia.
"Mmm hmmm" Amelia replies, looking down at her feet.
"Describe one for me." Tanya asks.
"Well, I always dream I'm drafted and I end up finding my dad out there, dead. Or wounded. Or I dream he doesn't remember me when he comes home." Amelia says, holding in tears.
"What if we sent him a letter? Email won't work as we can't garuntee he has internet, and we don't know where he is. Is that something you'd like to do?"
"Yeah. Sure." Amelia says.
"Good. Type it out here on my iPad and I'll print it off for you later, ok?" Amelia settles herself in the chair and begins to type.

Dear dad,
I wish I could see you again, hear you again. So does mum. I miss you. I'm worried that, because of everything that's going on, you'll forget who I am. It scares me. This whole war scares me. I guess I'm just being selfish. There are people over there where you are that need your help more than I do. But I want you back. Soon.
I know it's not long, but your probably really busy.
Stay safe.
Love, your daughter,
Amelia.

(Russian frontline)
Many days had passed. Daniel was fit for service and had returned to the frontline. He was standing guard, sleeves rolled up, sunglasses on, looking like a badass soldier. And he felt like one too. Through his binoculars, he noticed a bush moving in weird ways. He noticed several more bushes moving. Suddenly, the entire horizon line was filled with shrubbery and bushes, all moving ever so slightly towards the Russian lines. 'Smart asses' daniel thought.
"Stand to! Stand to! Enemy advance, camouflaged as bushes. Shoot anything that moves!" Daniel in yelled, raising his rifle and lining up a bush in his scope. Breathe in, squeeze, bang, breathe out. 'Damn I feel good' daniel thought as he fired round after round out into the advancing bushes. Soon enough, the bushes began to retreat, or at least those that were still alive. As the last bush stopped moving, daniel yelled out,
"Ceasefire!" Ending the battle as suddenly as it started.

Much of Daniels time was spent this way. Guard duty, the occasional enemy attack. The Koreans could not get past the allied defences. The allies couldn't penetrate the Korean defences. Several weeks passed like this. Daniel received Amelia's letter via the Red Cross, and wrote her one back. He sent his off just before he was captured by a surprise attack Force. His gun and ammunition were taken from him, but he had hidden a grenade in his back pocket. He was loaded onto a truck and taken away before anybody realised what was going on.
