HARRY'S POV
We walked down to a cafe called Levant.
Kairra had gone to the washroom when we got inside and I was scrolling through her thousands of songs. All our songs were there (as well as numerous Maroon 5 songs) starting from our Up All Night album to our last one, Midnight Memories.
She came out and sat down at the table.
"You like my choice of music I see." She smirked. I stared down at the picture of our last album not answering. "Harry?"
I looked up at her. "Sorry. I was just thinking." I murmured handing her phone back.
"About what?" She asked.
"I dunno. What would've happened if the paparazzi hadn't caught the boys smoking?" (Please just pretend for the story's sake.)
She sighed and placed a hand on mine. "I'm sure you'd still be touring the world writing new, amazing music. But what wouldn't have happened if it didn't happen?" She gave me a smile. "I guess Zayn wouldn't be married right now and the rest of the boys who wanted to settle down wouldn't be able to. So maybe one huge bad move made so many good ones."
"I wouldn't be with you right now either." I smiled lacing her fingers with mine. "And we made some room for the other boy bands out there."
She laughed. "There you have it. So that new boy band should be down on their knees thanking Zayn and Louis."
This has been the first time in years since I brought up that topic again. Of course, I miss the exhilaration of performing on stage with the boys and the energy from the fans but it all is worth giving up for Kai. The world needed a new generation of music.
*~*
We made it back to my place and just sat on the couch waiting for time to pass just talking, kissing and laughing.
"We better get ready." I said looking at the time. Kai pouted. I smiled and nuzzled my nose into her neck. "Come on, love."
She giggled and pushed me away. "Okay, okay. I'm getting ready now." She ran into my room shutting the door behind her. "Harry?" She asked walking out. My head snapped up to look at her. "Can you help me again?" She asked sheepishly.
I smiled and stood up as she turned around. "If I had a dollar for every time you asked me to zip and unzip this dress, I'd be rich."
She huffed. "No, you'd have less than ten dollars. You. Can't. Count." She clapped out.
"I'd like to be a billionaire." I smirked at her. "Would you let me?"
She laughed taking the makeup from the table and walking up to the mirror. "Not tonight Styles."
"So you'd let me be one?" I grinned.
She smiled and walked up to the mirror holding up a pallet of eye shadow. "I don't know. You really wanna be standing ther zipping and unzipping a girl's dress? Just go get changed." She laughed. I waltzed up to her kissing her cheek and unzipping the back of her dress at the same time. "Zip that back up." She demanded laughing reaching for her back with one hand.
"Do I get ten dollars?" I grinned toying with the zipper.
"I'll give you the dress." She glared at me. My grin grew wider when she realized what she just said. "That's not what I meant! Harry god dammit just zip up the dress!" I obeyed and zipped it up. "Thank you." She said and continued with her makeup. I wrapped my arms around her waist and rested my head on her shoulder watching her. She looked at my reflection on the mirror then continued. Then she sighed. "I can't concentrate with you looking at me like that." She laughed.
