Sorry, this took so long! I've been depressed for a while now and couldn't find any motivation to write this story, It's also Exam time so I've been super busy trying not to fail school, Tell me what you think of this chapter and what I could improve on!
Virgils POV
The Movie had finished and everyone had dispersed me being the only one left in the living room cleaning up a few pieces of popcorn that had gone astray. Logan walked in "oh did Patton and Roman leave you to clean up their mess." I looked up quickly startled by his sudden appearance "no, no nothing like that they were cleaning up as well but they had plans they needed to get too so I'm just cleaning up the last few pieces of popcorn" I explained picking up a half-popped kernel and putting it in a small plastic bag. "Oh I see, do you require assistance?" Logan asked leaning down to pick up a small piece of popcorn then stood back up and re-adjusted his glasses from where they had slid down his face. "Yeah if you don't mind" I moved the bag to his direction so he could put the popped corn inside.
I arrived back from the kitchen after taking the bag of popcorn to the bin. I walked over to Logan whose figure was now sitting in one of the lounges reading a somewhat thick book that seemed to be a poem "So what're you reading?" I asked trying to read the title of the book from across the room "It's a poem called 'The Aeneid' It's about a Trojan hero Aeneas who, after years of wandering after the fall of Troy, travelled to Italy to battle the Latins, eventually becoming the ancestor of the Roman nation." Logan replied not looking up from his book once "sounds interesting." I answered looking around the room awkwardly, "well I'm going to go hibernate for 7 days see you then." rushing out of the room after Logan didn't reply.
I had been sitting in my room for a while contemplating the universe when I felt a sharp pain shoot down my spine I quickly stood up to see if Logan could help me, maybe too fast though as I got dizzy and stumble forward stubbing my toe on my dresser 'shit that can't be good' I thought to myself as several other pains moved through my legs and arms causing my body to crumble to the floor in shock, my head hitting the side of the wooden dresser on the way down knocking me unconscious.
I was woken up by a soft knock on the door but that was the least of my concerns because the furniture that just a few hours ago was a completely normal size has suddenly gotten massive oh and also that I was walking on four legs and had soft fluffy paws, Patton's voice spoke up from behind the door, "Hey Virge are you in there buddy? Logan had said that you said that you were going to 'hibernate' or something" oh so he was listening to me... "Virgil..?" Patton spoke worry clear in his voice understandable really considering my past. "Virgil are you okay!?" as much as I would love to reply to ease his fear the only thing coming out of my mouth are soft barely audible mewls.
After a few more seconds of Patton pleading that I opened the door if I was inside I heard his quickly retreating footsteps and him yelling out for Roman, I signed I really couldn't blame him for being worried the last time I didn't reply when Patton had come looking for me I was trapped in the deepest depths of Thomas's mind where nothing good ever happens, in my opinion, it was and still is the equivalent of being sent to hell.
My anxiety, worries, and fears had been so intense it had summoned a demon like creature that had dragged me to what I would like to refer to as 'The Pit' it's where a person's deepest most disturbing thoughts are formed all your fears and haunting memories are stored there, It's also where most negative emotion is created although said emotions don't stick around long enough to go through the true torture being in The Pit brings, Patton had come to ask me what was wrong as Thomas had started having extreme nightmares only to find i was nowhere to be he had told all of the sides and had basically thrown a massive search party and looked in every corner of Thomas's mind embarrassing enough It was Roman that ended up being my knight in shining armour and found me which in my desperation and weakness had caused my cold dead heart to become just a little bit brighter.
The sound of heavy footsteps approaching my room brought me out of my thoughts so I quickly picked a pen up in my teeth and as best as i could scrawled on a discarded piece of paper that had been left on the floor 'gone for a walk be back soon' the writing was so unintelligible that I almost thought of just giving up and waiting it out in front of them until I turned back but then the idea of Patton calling me cute made me rethink my decision, I quickly ran underneath the bed and waited until they came in.
I could hear Roman arguing with Patton outside the door when Roman yelled 'I'm just going to do it!' and before I knew it my door was kicked in and splinters went literally everywhere, that was way to extreme I mean there was like seven other different ways of getting in my room that didn't include breaking my door down, Roman was the one that spotted the piece of paper first, "what the hell it looks like a three-year-old wrote this." he mumbled passing the paper over to Patton so he could read it.
While they were distracted I bolted out the door, howling when a splinter cut into the bottom of my foot.
I'm not going to start writing the next chapter until exam time is over so it might be a little while until chapter seven is released, sorry about that you lovely people!, but I've been thinking of writing a one-shot with my own OC's so tell me if you're interested in that :)
