Chapter 3- Kitten

Anxiety's POV

I was jolted out of my sleep by something crashing downstairs soon regretting how fast I got up as my entire body ached "owwwww what the hell!" not wanting to move in-case I caused any more pain to my already sore body I laid my head on the pillows

listening to the voices downstairs I heard someone walking up the stairs just incase it wasn't Thomas I covered my head with the duvet, I definitely wasn't letting anyone see my like this especially Roman I waited for the door to open

"hey Virg are you awake?" thank god it was Thomas "yeah.."I made a small hole in my blanket cocoon so i could look at him "oh good i was going to bring you pasta but Roman kind of made me spill it everywhere so I just brought you a glass of water and some headache tablets"

Thomas smiled at me "Thomas you are a literal ray of sunshine you know that right?" "I only got you a glass of water.." "Don't question me."

I sat up wincing slightly at the pain,Thomas placed the glass of water on the bedside table "okay so-" Thomas looked up at me only to full on smack the glass of water off the table and send it crashing to the floor, water spilling everywhere.

"ANXIETY!!!" he yelled shocked "HOLY MOTHER OF GOD WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT FOR THOMAS?!" I yelled back, darn I could have really used that water... "ANXIETY YOU HAVE EARS!!" he stared dumbfounded "umm Thomas enough about me are you sure you're alrigh-" "CAT EARS ANXIETY!!" Thomas yelled cutting me off "WHAT?!!" I put my hands up and ran my fingers through my hair until i came across two furry cat ears "......"

I sat there for a few seconds letting the fact that somehow i managed to grow cat ears sink in and then jumped out of bed and almost instantly fell to the ground because of the pain "This is bad this is very very bad Thomas It hurts to move my body and I..and what if someone sees me like this!" I said Looking behind me "Thomas I have a tail!!!" I groaned "A tail Thomas!!"

Thomas just stood there staring at me until he finally said something "This.Is.Awesome...I HAVE TO TELL PATTON THIS IS SO CUUUTE!!!" oh god please no "nooo Thomas please you can't!" suddenly there was a crash downstairs followed by someone coming up the stairs.

"Thomas? Where are you?" oh god its Roman "oh no oh no no no no" I frantically ran around the room trying to find somewhere to hide "Thomas help!" to add on to the the situation I was shrinking! Seconds later I was almost completely at ground level looking at what was supposed to be my hands I was greeted by two furry paws oh god please not let this be happening.

"Thomas what's happening up there?" Roman called up from where he was on the steps "uuhh! Nothing!" Thomas yelled back I was completely freaking out at this point "Thomas I'm a cat!" I whisper yelled at him "WHAT!?"

Realising Roman was almost at the top of the stairs I quickly ran underneath the bed and inbetween a few boxes wincing slightly as Prince came barging into the room "why are you making so much noise?! Also did you purposefully not clean the pasta completely just so i would slip on it?" Roman said picking a piece of uncooked pasta of his now stained sash.

"Yep! As revenge for making me drop it! but... I wasn't making that much noise was I?" Thomas replied looking around to see if I had hidden successfully "oh you sure were, you woke up Logan and boy can I tell you he was not happy something about not getting the proper amount of sleep" he said "why are you in the guest bedroom anyways?" Oh geez we're screwed we are definitely screwed.

"Me and ..uh Anxiety were thinking about re decorating it earlier and ..um i thought i would..uh come and look at it" "uh i suppose that's reasonable-" suddenly my body started shifting back knocking boxes over and causing the contents to spill out startled by how loud it was i smacked my head against the top of the bed throwing my hands to my now pounding head and quickly pulling my hoodie over my head and tightening the strings to hide my ears.

Roman's POV

"What in the heck was that!" I cautiously walked over to the bed and the now knocked over boxes "Hahahaha...I wonder what that was..." Thomas laughed awkwardly, kneeling down to look under the bed i was met with the seemingly glowing eyes of Anxiety

"hi..I'm here too.." he said starting to slowly crawl further back "what are you doing under the bed?" "what do you mean what am I doing under the bed it's the darkest place in the room why wouldn't I be under the bed?" He stared at me as if that was the obvious answer but something about him seemed ...off?

I stood up and walked to the door "well that's enough of that" I glanced back at the bed where Virgil was now slightly sticking his head out "before this gets any stranger I'll be taking my leave" I said returning back to the Mindscape.

A/N Yay! I finally updated my story! Not the longest Chapter, but still it's something! sorry this took so long its mainly procrastination but I've had things like school camp and the pile of Homework I had to keep up with, also in just a couple of weeks this story managed to get 300+ reads!
