It was a week after our date under the stars when our school announced that there would be a special sports competition for all those doing extracurricular sports.

I mentally punched the air, I had been waiting for a very long time to show off my skills with a bow and arrow to Rowan (sorry if you don't do archery). I had grown to love the sport and was the one of the best at our school.

Time skip to the competition

I had changed into some nice black leggings with sheer stripes and a black crop hoodie with a sheer top half, with some black trainers (in the picture). I tied my hair into a slick ponytail. I went to the storage the storage unit to get my bow, I spotted it. The bow sits on its stand. I walk over to the it and pick it up. The carbon frame cool under my fingers. I grabbed my quiver and make my way outside.

The sun was shining brightly, in the distance I spot Nat screaming my name from the stands, Rowan next to her, he gave me two thumbs up. I looked at my competition, some girls in my year some above me. Next to me, Brittany, she has a cocky smile on her face, she had just recently started archery and was quite good.

The referee calls;

"Ready", we get into a shooting stance

"Fire at will, you have two minutes"

I load my first arrow, the world around me silences, I see nothing but the target and my arrow, I take a deep breath and release the string. I smile as the arrow hits the inner red.

I load my second arrow, I breath in and release it. It hits the outer gold. On more, I need to hit the center.

I load my final arrow, the world around me is silent, I only hear the noise of the bell signaling that I have thirty seconds. I suddenly hear a voice, it's Rowan's cheering me on. I smile, I take my final deep breath and release, it hits its mark right in the center of the target.

All the noises come rushing back, I hear Brittany scream in annoyance, Nat shouting in joy and Rowan shouting encouragements to me.

The referee calls again, we get into shooting stance and fire. This continues for a couple hours. The competition ends but the winners aren't announced, it is time for the archers to be assigned a beginner to teach.

I look around me then sports hall teeming with archers both new and old. In the distance I catch sight of my silver haired boyfriend. He has a bow in his hand, his quiver at his side, I smile as I realised that I would be teaching Rowan.

"Hello Babe" I greet him, he greets me a small kiss on my forehead.

"Well then Y/N, you're my coach" he says

"You should consider yourself very lucky, you couldn't have gotten a better coach" I say smirking

"Cocky Y/N" he says smiling

"Alright let's do this, stand sideways each feet at each side of the line" I order him

He complies, he is still smirking at me though.

"Draw your bow, but don't load an arrow, pull the string and aim"

He does it, I am pretty happy with what he doing, so I hand him and arrow.

"Only shoot when I tell you" I tell him

"I won't throw away my shot don't worry" he says referencing one of his lines in the musical.

"Your so cheesy" I shun him.

He loads his arrow and aims exactly how I taught him, and fires.

He hits the red.

"Yes" I shout with joy "I really am the best coach aren't I"

"Yes you are" Rowan complements me

"Oh don't encourage her" says Nat as she walks over to us, she is wearing a nice Gold coloured hoodie and a pair of skinny jeans.

"We have final rehearsal tomorrow, we are doing act 2" she explains

I cringe, I hated act two, don't get me wrong I love the music. But act two is when Hamilton, who is Rowan cheats on his wife me with Maria Reynolds, who is played by Brittany. I really appreciate Maria's character and would have played her only I am Eliza but I really don't appreciate Brittany. And it is a little visual if you get what I am saying.

"Don't worry babe, you know it means nothing" my boyfriend says, smiling gently at me, his green eyes gentle.

"I know, but it doesn't mean I like it anymore" I say, we share a quick kiss

"Come to the judges table please everybody, it is prize giving time" the main Judge announces.

We all walk over, my hand in Rowan's.

"I just wanted to say good job to everybody this morning. You guys have been amazing" the judge says

We all applaud for our fellow archers.

"But there must be a winner, so in third place" he looks at his list

"Is..." he says a name that isn't mine, I don't really listen from then on

"Second place is..." he says another name that isn't mine

He pauses

"And finally first place is..... Y/N L/N" he shouts

My head springs up, me I am so overwhelmed I don't know what to do. Then a pair of strong hands are on mine, I look up and see Rowan.

"It's ok love, come on" he says in a soothing voice

I stand up with him from our chairs, he put his hand on the small of my back and gives me a little push.

I walk up to the table, all eyes on me, I don't know wether to thrive from the attention or run away or hide from it.

It is silent, to silent

I see the judge he has a gold medal in his hand.

I stop infront of him, puts over my head, the metal disk cold on my chest.

The auddience explodes into applaud as the judge lifts my arm into the air as if I had just won a boxing match.

I smile, in the distance I can Rowan smiling Lovingly at me.

Time skip to later that evening

I had changed out of my sports clothes into some pyjamas when I got home, but was still wearing my medal.

Nat and I were sitting on my bed, I had invited her over for a sleep over that night.

"Hey girl how did you do it ?" She asks

"Do what" I question her

"You know get Rowan to be your boyfriend" she explains

"I don't know, I guess he just liked me the way I liked him" I say, I actually really didn't know

"Well you sure are really lucky" she says, as digs into the ice cream she brought over.

"I guess I am" I smile absently as I think about Rowan, my prince.

HOPE YALL LIKE THIS, I was at my grandmas and she has no WiFi and she technically lives in a different country so no 3G, sorry again. This one is 1150 approx words, sorry if you don't like archery I ran out of  ideas, but I have more now.
