When the others left, Alisa was left sitting next to Jordan on his small leather couch. She was fiddling with the hem of his over sized sweater.
"I felt exactly like you did." He says, breaking the silence between them.
"Oh? You're also a giant bird thing that goes around killing people?" She sniffs, wiping away a stray tear that slides over her cheek.
"No. But I am a harbinger of death. As are you." Parrish attempts to console her.
"Correct me if I'm wrong, but don't Hellhounds protect the supernatural? Isn't that what Scott said? Protect, Jordan, not kill."
Parrish stretches out his hand and grabs hers. Warmth radiates from his palm and Alisa wonders if he's always so warm because of he Hellhound; or if its his natural warmth.
"Scott is good at helping people, Alisa. He'll find out what you are. You could be protecting people, Alisa, you'll never know." He gives her had a reassuring squeeze.
She wipes her nose and stares at him. "I'm scared, Jordan. I have been so scared my entire life. I'm scared of what I'm doing, of what I am. I'm scared of the things my Mum researches, of her job. I'm scared of what you are, of what Scott and everyone else is. I am scared that I am going to kill someone I care about. What if I'm not meant to protect anyone? Why does it feel like I'm endangering people?"
Parrish wipes away the tears that roll down her cheeks and pulls her in so her head rests against his chest. "I can't promise you a lot of things, Alisa, but I can promise you that you'll find out what you are and how to make sure everyone is safe."
Alisa sighs heavy, pulling away to look at him. They're faces are inches a part and her eyes drift down to look at his lips.
"Alisa." He whispers.
She leans forward and her lips are on his; she kisses him hard and his hand moves from hers to bundle up a fist full of her hair. His lips are soft and he tastes sweet; she pulls back and stares at him, her hand resting on his chest.
"I shouldn't have done that, I'm. I'm sorry." She whispers, standing quickly. "I have to go."
"Alisa wait." Jordan reaches out to grab her arm but she moves quickly to his door, opening it and closing it behind her.
"Shit." He mutters.

She had successfully ignored everyone for three days. Monday morning came quickly and she was getting ready to go back to school but she wanted to stay home and away from everyone else.
Jordan had tried calling her, sending her various messages but she didn't answer any of them. She didn't know what to say.
She's kissed a Sheriff's Deputy and she liked it but part of her didn't know how to feel about it. She stares at herself in the mirror, sighing. She could fake sick, maybe that would work, although her Mum wouldn't buy it, the thought was still there.
She heads downstairs and passed her Mum who is sitting at the kitchen table, writing in her notepad.
"Ready for school?" She asks, looking up at Alisa who nods.
"Can I take the car today?" She questions, adjusting the strap of her side bag.
"'Course you can pet, how are those friends of yours?" Her mum asks, tapping the end of the pencil against the pad.
She remembers how Scott had told Alisa what they all where and she momentarily thinks about telling her Mum, but she know that Scott and his friends are only teenagers. She didn't want to put them through the kind of things her mother put supernatural beings through.
"I haven't found anything yet, Mum. I'll keep trying though."
Her mum smile sat her, reaching for the keys and handing them to her, Alisa reaches out for them. "You aren't lying to me are you?" She asks.
Alisa swallows and smiles at her, shaking her head softly. "Of course not, Mum."
"Good." She lets the keys fall into her daughter's hand and starts to write.
Alisa heads for the front door when her Mother's voice stops her.
"You know how many people were hurt the last time you lied to me Alisa. I would hate for it to happen again."
