Stephens POV

I walked to work, my blue jeans tugging at my legs and my black jumper hanging loosely. I walked a different route, through the underground, taking a left down a secret passage nobody knew of. I reached to doors, using my pass to buzz and get in. It then scanned my iris and hand, allowing me into the laboratory. I walked in slowly, signing in on the neon white and blue electrical screen. Arrived: 8:04am / Early.

"Early for once, Ste." I heard a voice cackle, a smiled spread across my lips.

"Could say the same for you, Chip." He laughed, I looked at the screen. Josh Larkin - Arrived: 7:59am - Early.

"Why so early today?" I asked, he shrugged.

"Not a decent hour of sleep, probably a 20 minute nap. Living off Red Bull and Coffee." He laughed, I smirked.

"And Smirnoff?" I asked, he smirked and nodded. I picked up my white jacket, slipping my arms in one at a time.

"Who was the girl this time then?" I asked, he shook his head and smirked. I didn't bother buttoning up my jacket, instead I let it hang loose.

"I told you, I really like Gee. I want you too meet her, no more drinking and sleeping around - I really like her." He trailed off, I smiled as he talked about Gee. He then looked over at me and laughed.

"Sorry, going off on one - but, what about you? Found your special boy yet?" He asked, I grabbed my clipboard and black ballpoint pen. I shook my head, smiling and looking up to my trusted friend.

"Not yet, doubt it'll be soon. Anyway, Dr. McGinley said we had a new recipient here today. Who is he?" I asked, putting on the work act as we both walked through the double doors.

"I don't know to be honest, second sheet section C78..." He mumbled as we looked at our clipboards, a name highlighted in Red.

"Will Lenney."
