My face winced as a needle plunged into my skin. I sighed in relief as the needle was finally removed from my skin, blood within it's compartment. Spots of blood started to form but the nurse quickly wrapped it in a red bandage.
She smiled warmly at me, nodding her head, signalling me that I was done. I made a 'tch' noise and stood up, rolling my sleeve back down.
I put my hands to my sides and walked out of the room, making my way down the long hallway, passing the many doors that held patients behind them. I kept my head low, my black hair falling into my eyes.
I hated the thought of love, but whenever I heard the word love, one person always filled my head.
Lance.
I shook my head. I had no need for love. All I ever was good for was fighting and training.
Fight!
Fight!
Fight!
It was one week before my Eighteenth birthday and I wasn't planning on doing anything. I was gonna get my test results and continue living my life as normal, my 'Soulmate' casually behind me.
I exited the hallway, past the double doors and outside the hospital. I got on to my motorcycle, kicking the kickstand back and starting it, backing it out, and driving out of the hospital parking lot.
After awhile, I pulled on to the college campus and parked my bike in a student parking lot. I pulled my helmet off, shaking my head, my hair falling back into place.
I put my helmet in the back compartment and kicked my kickstand out, turning the bike off, and hoping off. I put my hands in my pocket and put my head down again, walking on to the campus. So many thoughts went through my mind until I bumped into someone.
I looked at who I bumped into and my face softened from it's usually 'emotionless' face. My heart raced slightly, looking straight the young boy in front of me. His brown hair, slightly messy from being in a hurry and his Navy jacket, complimenting his dark skin tone. His blue eyes, filled with wander as he scanned my ever being.
I sighed heavily and crossed my arms, "Watch where you are going, Lance!"
Lance gritted his teeth and his face turned slightly red from anger, "Says the one looking down, Keith!"
I don't know why but my heart skipped a beat when he said my name. The way it rolled off his tongue was music to my ears. I need him to say my name, over and over again. I need him to be mine.
