I woke up a couple of hours later, looking around for Ryder, panicking when I didn't see him in his play pen. I untangled myself from Parker's arms running into the kitchen seeing Mark with my son in his arms. "You should have told me you had him!" I whispered, " I almost had a heart attack." He just laughed at me, "I figured with Parker here, it would be better if he stayed with me and Kenna." I nodded understanding his plan. "Just give me a warning next time." I joked walking back towards my room, "He should need a bottle soon, there's one in the fridge." I walk back into my room, to see Parker still asleep. I sigh, sitting on the edge of the bed, waking him up by shaking him gently. He smirks, "Well we haven't done this in a while." I shake my head discouraging him. "You should probably get going, you have a plane to catch tomorrow, and if I know you, nothing is packed." He chuckles confirming what I already knew. "Are you going to be okay?" He's now concerned, and I have the strong urge to tell him everything, but I take a deep breath pushing those thoughts away, "I will be, thank you for coming over here. You really didn't have to do that." I look away from him. "Of course I'd do anything for you Em, I love you." He's never said this to me before and it sends my whole world spinning. "No.." I state blankly. "You should go.." I'm pushing him out the door before I even realize what I'm doing. I hear him outside the door talking to Mark. I just shake my head blocking out his voice as I bury myself back in my bed. I lay there staring at the ceiling, knowing that I wouldn't sleep for the rest of the night.
