"Israr" asked Sonia jumping forward, and spreading her arms wide, displaying the heroes standing behind her, in one straight line, "what do you think of the old- new team . . . the Xanthrons??"
Israr smiled and looked at all of them one by one, watching each of them demonstrate a different pose, and declared,
"You guys are the best!" and everyone smiled.
Later the heroes gathered at a grass field and started practicing fighting lightly, in the city itself. They played 'Behind Enemy Lines' and were having a lot fun together. Asuka entered the field but nobody let her reach the end line.
"Hey come on!" she complained "you could at least look that happy when you're playing with me too.!"
"Will you get back here, I have to take care of your wounds," shouted Dharam as he wrapped a bandage around Shannon's arm.
"Okay!" responded Asuka and walked out, with the others giggling at her.
Israr looked really happy. Crawford and Elizabeth watched them proudly.
"Even after all that, they're playing around as If none of it happened, what amazing group of kids," thought Prem amazed, watching them play and joke around.
"Israr why don't you take a turn," said Veer, letting out a competitive invitation.
"Sure" replied Israr and entered the field. As soon as he did, he threw a "terror destroyer" right in the center, it shoke the ground and there was a large blast. Before the others recovered and got back on their legs, Israr already reached the end line and stood there smiling.
"That's our Israr!!" announced Joshua grinning.
"He's sure amazing," said Aphrodi, "just like you guys said."
"Wow that was incredible," shouted Asuka, and Ian just watched innocently surprised.
In the evening, Israr, Veer, Ian and Joshua stood watching the sunset. It felt really great, like they were very light and free. The blue color change into orange, only to diminish away slowly, looked really dazzling. The fact that they were together, was something that was enormously pleasant.
They all booked rooms in a hotel for the night. Not to brag, but it was Shannon all the way, controlling the means of transportation and the locations. She really knew, how to make use of the free funds from Dolphin Corp. Being in a hotel in Venice, that was suggested by Shannon, with a sea side view, was a gift in itself. While they were at a fancy restaurant having dinner, Asuka and Sonia put hot sauce in Joshua and Israr's plate. As soon as Joshua put a spoon in his mouth, his mouth got really hot and water came from his eyes, and he ran for water, shouting,
"Not again"
Sonia and Asuka just laughed at him. They stared at Israr excited as he ate, waiting for him to scream for water, and at the same time Sonia put a spoon of the food in her mouth, and suddenly her mischievous face changed, her face all red and water running from her eyes.
"Its hot" she screamed, and ran for water.
"Oh sorry, I switched plates before hand," announced Israr, and he, Veer and Ian laughed, and Sonia ran behind Joshua for water.
